Sometimes what you don’t do can be just as important as what you do.

At Fitz Fitness we don’t do punishment workouts, extreme diets or perfection.

We focus on consistency, balance and building habits you can actually stick to for life.

Michelle and Stephen in this morning before their daughter’s wedding this afternoon.
Few squats, bit of craic… now off to dance all night.
That’s what I call proper wedding prep.

Most people hear HYROX and think one thing…
Running 😅

And that’s exactly what puts them off.

But here’s the truth 👇

You don’t need to be a runner to start.

At Fitz Fitness, we’ve built our sessions so you can get all the benefits of HYROX training without the pressure of pounding the pavement.

We swap runs for bikes, ski ergs, rowers
and keep everything scalable to your level.

So you still build fitness

still get that buzz

still feel like an athlete again

Just without the dread before you walk in the door.
If you’ve been sitting on the fence, this is your sign.

DM HYROX and come try your first class free

You don’t need to choose between getting strong or getting fit

You need both

At Fitz Fitness we combine strength training with the right kind of cardio

Not random workouts

Structured Hyrox sessions

And our Green Zone for simple, conversational pace cardio

So you’re not wrecked

You’re progressing

Strong body

Healthy heart

And a system you can actually stick to

That’s how this works

I'm taking part in a Lip Sync Battle in Charleville with a group of old friends and we’re going all in with The Full Monty 😅

The event takes place in the Charleville Park Hotel on Good Friday April 3rd 2026. There’ll be 12 acts taking to the big stage in what’s shaping up to be a seriously good night and a proper professional production.

It’s all in aid of Castletown Ballyagran GAA, a place that genuinely shaped who I am. Some of my best memories growing up were out on that field. Like a lot of rural clubs, it’s under pressure and this is about keeping the heart of the community alive.

Now here’s where it gets interesting

My coaching staff decided sponsorship and taking part in the event isn’t enough to ask Fitz Fitness members for donations, I have to earn it. So I’ve very reluctantly agreed to get my legs waxed on Monday March 30th if Fitz Fitness members get behind this.

This could take hours, possibly days, have you seen my legs 😂

It’s that time of year when half the country has a dose of something, so here’s a quick guide on when to get moving… and when to park yourself on the sofa with a Lemsip.

Sometimes training helps.
Sometimes it absolutely doesn’t.

If you’ve a cold, low sleep or a bit of muscle soreness, you might still be grand to train.
If you’ve a fever, flu, concussion or you’re clearly overdoing it, rest isn’t “being soft”… it’s being sensible.

Look after yourself, train smart, and you’ll be back on track quicker than pretending you’re fine.
