Pyong-Hwa School of Taekwon-Do Pyong-Hwa School of Taekwon-Do is a family run school based in Coláiste Stiofáin Naofa on the Tramore Road in Cork.
Formerly the Togher School of Taekwon-Do the school was established in 1979 and has since grown to become on of the largest martial arts schools in the country with members ranging in age from 6 to 68. In 1997 the school was taken over by the Connolly family and has continued to go from strength to strength. Our classes are taught by Chief Instructor Mr. Con Connolly 6th Degree Black Belt and Ms. Janice Connolly 6th Degree Black Belt. Between them they have over 40 years of teaching experience.

We are excited to announce that Mr. Con Connolly has been promoted to 7th Degree Black Belt at the GTF European Championships in Girne, Northern Cyprus. As you are all aware, Master Connolly puts a lot of time and effort into his personal training and has dedicated the past 30 years of his life to Taekwon-Do. Please join us in congratulating Master Connolly on his Milestone Promotion.

Ms. Janice Connolly promoted to 6th Degree Black Belt!
Having already dedicated much of her life so far to her art, Ms. Janice Connolly is celebrating her 23rd year of Taekwon-Do in style having successfully passed her examination for 6th Degree Black Belt in July 2016.
While in Kazan, Russia for the GTF World Championships. Ms. Connolly was invited to partake in the promotional testing under the panel of Grand Masters & Masters in attendance. Presiding over the black belt testing were GTF President & Honorary Grand Master Linda Park, Grand Master Ha Xuan, Senior Master Vito Palella, Senior Master Konstantinos Kalfas, Master Victor Shcherbakov, Master Ivan Tzatchev and Master Vu Kanh Thach. Over the course of the examination, Ms. Connolly, along with 23 members from GTF Russia, was tested on basic techniques, patterns, 1, 2 and 3 step-sparring, free sparring, self-defense, knife defense and board breaking techniques. It was a comprehensive and intense test but Ms. Connolly provided all the right answers with the Grading panel commending the power and precision of her techniques.
Congratulations also to all GTF Russia Members who graded successfully at this event.

Miss.Kellie O’Gorman has been promoted to 1st Degree Black Belt!
14 year old Kellie pulled out all the stops in her Grading under the watchful eye of Mr. Con Connolly 6th Degree Black Belt. Kellie put in an excellent performance while being tested on basic techniques, patterns, 1, 2 and 3 step-sparring, free sparring and self-defense. She successfully passed her examination for 1st Degree Black Belt in June 2016. Congratulations Kellie.
