That was absolutely magnificent, both this evening, and all throughout the last decade. Thank you all for coming, for dancing, and for creating a fantastic atmosphere. It is such a tremendous privilege and pleasure for me to able to spend time each week meeting new people, and roaring at them!

On the 3rd July 2014, we had the first Céilí by the Lee, in the Porterhouse, which no longer exists in that form. Incredibly next week we will be celebrating our 10 year anniversary!

There's been a lot of changes in the intervening decade - not least in the realm of phone cameras - but also some constants - like my 5 jokes. It's been a tremendous privilege to meet people from all over the world, and to spend a few hours shouting at them each week.

Before Céilí by the Lee, the only time I'd be found on a dance floor would be if I got lost en route to the jacks, but now it's the central pillar of my social life. Doing the classes has introduced me to people from all over the world, made me many friends, and led to other wonderful things, like Salsa by the Lee.

I'm hugely grateful to everyone who has made it possible for me to spend time doing something so enjoyable. There are far too many to thank, but my undying thanks to everyone at Crane Lane, Cork, which has been the home of Céilí by the Lee for most of its life.
