Female members of Kendo na hÉireann are encouraged to sign up for the IMAC Female Leadership Programme

IMAC Female Leadership Course September 2026

This course will take place over four Sundays and cover topics such as:

• Leadership and values
• Networking and collaboration
• Resilience - crisis management
• Influencing in leadership
• Communications and personal brand
• Governance in sport
• Change management

It is being facilitated by Sarah O Shea, the current Vice President of the Olympic Federation of Ireland and Lisa Clancy, the President of Paralympics Ireland.

This course was previously run in 2024, resulting in feedback which was very positive. You can read some below:

Sunday 4th October 10.00-12.30 online
Sunday 18th October 10.00-13.30 in-person

Great Sport Ireland event yesterday to announce the Women In Sport funding Allocations. So many women from different sports took part! Irish Martial Arts Commission was represented by Kathryn Cassidy, Anna Dérczy (Kendo) and Sophie Tapiz (Taekwon-Do). We also met some old an new friends and had a lovely time in the sunshine.

Huge congratulations to Maurycy Kaczor, who last weekend won the Individual Polish Championships in the Men’s Open Category!

Maurycy, we are all so happy for you here and incredibly proud of your great achievement. Well done!
