Take part in our virtual Bantry Bay Adventure Race this year, and you'll be raising funds for a vital support to our community - the Bantry Inshore Search & Rescue Association
This registered charity providing an emergency lifeboat service to the Bantry Bay community and is a declared resource of the Irish Coastguard service.
Its volunteers support our event in practical ways each year, and - more importantly - provide a lifeline for everyone who calls on them in an emergency.

The last weekend in August is always 'BBAR weekend', and this year we're marking it with a virtual adventure race, keeping you in shape for next year's event and raising funds for great West Cork charities.

Join us to:
- Run, cycle, kayak or take on all three disciplines wherever you are in the world.
- Challenge friends and family across the world to join you.
- Share your photos and videos with us on social media using the hashtag
- Then upload evidence of your adventures to receive an e-certificate from us!

We’ll also be hosting an online Adventure Racing Webinar to get your preparation for BBAR 2022 underway.

Of the €20 fee, everything bar the payment processing fee will go to the West Cork Women Against Violence Project and the Bantry Inshore Rescue Association, so get involved to have fun and show them your support.

Just to confirm that the Bantry Bay Adventure Race 2020 won't go ahead, but we look forward to seeing you in 2021.

We had been on the verge of launching the 2020 event in March when the lockdown came, and we are very grateful to our team of local volunteers who had already put in lots of work for 2020, but the logistics mean that it won't be practical to run this year's event.

We can't wait to welcome you back for the 2021 'BBAR', and we hope to see you before then making the most of what West Cork has to offer.
