Our Storyteller in Residence Story From Seeds - Maria Gillen picked up Jim Brule Jill Brule & Omar Belaarej in Cork and they visited the beautiful grounds of Blaney Castle on the way down to Kerry Writers Museum & the opening of the Listowel Storytelling Festival where the life & times of the legendary Storyteller Eamon Kelly was celebrated in his songs & stories by storytelles; musicians & Singers who carry his tradition forward. The opening night was a HUGE success to a packed out audience led by the fantastic Frances Kennedy

We are delighted with how the project started by Maria Gillen is gathering momentum and cementing the deepening story bonds between Morroco, America & Ireland. We would like to thank our sponsors & storytelling partners Woodstock Story Festival in New York USA, World Storytelling Cafe in Morocco, Morocco in Ireland, Kerry Writers Museum & the wonderful Listowel Storytelling Festival.

Stories dissolve differences, explore connection and lighten our hearts & we are proud to celebrate our National Cultural Inheritance with the traditional Céad Míle Fáilte to our National & International Guests.

What a BRILLIANT opening night for Listowel Storytelling Festival 2027 in Kerry Writers Museum. An homage to the great Eamon Kelly by local Storytellers & Musicians and a wonderful trip down memory lane by his niece who had us all enthralled with a beautiful peep behind the scenes of the family life of the outstanding storytelling legend - Eamon Kelly.

Meanwhile Jim Brule & Omar Belaarej are here to carry on the fantastic project, connecting countries through storytelling. Tomorrow morning we bring stories from Marrakech, Africa, New York, USA & Ireland to 3 Kerry Schools. Tomorrow evening we will share.the story session with all comers at the Rambling House session in Kerry Writers Museum from 8:00 pm - come early for the caint, ceoil agus craic!

Dreaming into being! It's been a big few months on the , not to mind celebrating my roundy birthday! I have had a whale of a time bringing Irish stories from the 5 deep wells across the UK and Ireland. The Wheel of the Year workbooks have been taking shape and have been shipped out to my Chlann Scéalta (Story Family).

I'm on my way home now to host Jim Brule and Omar Belaarej in Cork before we make our way to the Listowel Storytelling Festival 2026. All part of , a dream to connect countries through story!
