The countdown is officially ON for the Cork City Marathon this Sunday! 🏃‍♀️🏁

We have an absolute army of almost 50 Frontrunners taking over the streets, ​between the full marathon heroes, half-marathon legends, 10K speedsters, and an incredible crew of volunteers. 🙌🥳🎉

​It’s time to shine bright, 🌟 lace up, 👟 and put your best foot forward! 🥳 We are thrilled to kick off the Cork Pride season 🎉 with our annual Pride 5K race, this year at Marina Park. 💫

​Whether you’re a seasoned runner aiming for a personal best ⏱️ or looking to enjoy a colorful walk with friends, 🏳️‍🌈 this event is for everyone! And for every finisher, a beautiful Cork Pride 5K medal awaits! 🏅

​And for our top placer, we have a fabulous 1st place trophy up for grabs as well as cash prizes for the top finishers across our men's, women's, and non-binary categories! 🏆

This is a chipped and timed senior race (18+), 🔞 and we especially welcome our allies to come out, walk or run, and show their support for LGBT+ inclusion in sport! 🤝🏳️‍⚧️

​🏁 Emma is our committee Race Officer. She keeps us on track by building our annual race calendar and coordinating club attendance for events throughout the year.

​👟 Aisling is one of our incredible club ambassadors who support the committee. As our Women in Sport Ambassador, Aisling does amazing work promoting, supporting, and empowering the women in our community.

Cheetah? 🐆 I hardly know ya!

Another race in the books for our fabulous Frontrunners as we all took on the Cheetah Run! 🏎️ Huge thanks to for organizing such a classic event, we look forward to it every year!

Major congrats as well to .kelly.731 who was the 5th in the men's category and 7th overall! 🎉

We were also thrilled to get a chance to meet the great Sonia O'Sullivan. An inspiration to all of our runners! 😍

Well done to every single one of our runners that's completed the race, I know that hill at the end was daunting but at least there were biscuits after! 😎

​This time it's some solo shots of our committee members, Jack and Rónan. 📸

​Rónan is the secretary for Frontrunners & Briskwalkers Cork and the race director for our annual Cork Pride 5K. He helps to ensure the club's smooth running, pardon the pun. 🌈

​Jack runs our social media and website and always ensures that everyone is kept in the loop and looking their best on the grid! (Despite any claims to the contrary)📱✨

We've had such a flurry of activities in the past while that we've got a backlog of pics we had yet to post so let's just call this Q1 👌

Some great running 🏃 and briskwalking 🚶‍♀️, a special guest visit from our mascot 🐶, some fantastic strength and conditioning classes 💪 with , and some excellent food at the . ✌️

Things are only going to get even better as we come into Summer 🌞 so there's never been a better time to come along and join us! We run every Monday at 7pm at Kennedy Park and every Saturday at 10am at the Marina market car park.

Huge thanks to Sports Direct for having us at Páirc Uí Chaoimh on Saturday for the launch of the new Nike Pegasus 42 runners!

We put it through its paces with some high-intensity sprints and the best part? Every one of our runners got to keep their pair! 🎁
