Great start to the league for Riverside U13 girls in Castlelack against Castlelack on Monday evening last 4th May. It was a quiet and closely contested first half with both teams defending well leaving it goalless at half time.
Riverside came out with great energy in the second half scoring four goals with the first coming from Ella Murray in the 39th minute. Castlelack were unlucky to concede an own goal in the 44th minute leaving them two down with almost twenty minutes to go. Castlelack fought back scoring a goal from a free. Two more goals for Riverside sealed the deal. Both coming from Ruby Dooley - in the 53rd minute and the fourth in the last minute of the game.
Riversides team work proved the difference with excellent passing leading to some great finishes on the night.
Full time score Riverside 4 castlelack 1. A strong performance from all of the girls today. Keep pushing forward!
