Delighted to welcome Shannavarius Whippets to our Breeders Tab
Shannavarius Whippets were established in early 2018 with ongoing interest, love and passion towards the breed since 2006.

Here’s where it stands at the moment.
Seemingly all bar one insurance company that I contacted don’t have the “appetite” to insure the Whippet Racing Club Cork, (WRCC) and the one that did get back, the rate quoted is prohibitive.
The option that is still open is a result of making contact with Country Sports Ireland.
As part of their group scheme each paid up member would be fully covered to participate in events held by WRCC, plus lots of other sporting activities. The land owner (Munster Agricultural Society) would also be fully indemnified, but this would also mean events could be held at different venues.
The cost for 12 months cover per member is €30 and a minimum of 7 members are required.
The cost of purchasing the equipment such as drag, fencing etc, I would purchase on behalf of the club would have to be recouped by way of a small entry fee per event.

Have been working on getting public liability insurance which has been challenging to say the least...Have one option in the bag, and waiting on 2 more companies to get back to me...Will keep all interested advised in the next few days hopefully...
