We in White's Cross Gaa extend congratulations and best wishes to Upper Glanmire NS on qualifying for the Sciath na Scoil Hurling Final to be played tomorrow morning in Páirc Uí Chaoimh - throw in is at 11am. Given the fact the School already won the football final earlier in the school year, this is a particularly significant achievement - could the double be on!
With nineteen St. Colmcille's GAA boys in the squad for tomorrow it's a fantastic opportunity for the players to play in the hallowed turf at Cork GAA headquarters. Well done to the players and all involved in helping to promote Gaelic Games in the School.
Go n-éirí an t-ádh libh maidin amárach - Upper Glanmire abú!

The U12 girls were delighted to take part in the Kieran Dunne Memorial blitz hosted by St Vincent’s on Saturday 17th. It was a great occasion where the blitz was kicked off by a piper leading the teams onto the pitch followed by a lovely rendition of the National Anthem. Then it was straight into action for the girls. The standard of camogie was high & our girls showed great skill & commitment throughout all their games. The event concluded with a medal ceremony for all the girls, which were well deserved. Thank you to St Vincent’s for inviting us to a very enjoyable day of camogie & fun, a great experience for the girls 😀

White's Cross GAA has exciting development plans to cater for the needs of our ever-growing members, including the purchase and development of a second field . At present we lease our juvenile field but are now in the process of buying it - this is turn will allow us to develop the grounds. To do this we are creating a number of subcommittees to assist with different forms of fundraising and so we are looking for volunteers from our membership base.
If fundraising doesn't tickle- your-fancy there will be other elements to the project where we will need assistance too.
If you would be willing to assist, in any way, we would be delighted to hear from you. Pop a message to Conor K on 087 6293430 or Sean C on 087 290 3121 to register your interest.
This really is a case of many hands make light work so in the words of Mrs Doyle "Go on, go on, go on..."!!!
