WHAT. A. GAME. 🤯

What a crazy game for our Seniors on Saturday. Losing twice, leading once and eventually drawing in a game where the defences certainly weren't on top! 😂

We went 1-0 down after a fine finish from the Wilton forward, before debutant Rico got us level with a header at the back post after a great ball from Brandon.

Within a minute, we were 2-1 down again as poor concentration after our goal allowed Wilton to get back in front.

We got back on terms when their keeper parried a shot and Rory followed up, only to be taken down for a penalty. Shane made no mistake from the spot.

We then took the lead for the first time when Rico scored his second header of the game after some wizardry from Maddy created the opportunity for a fantastic cross. 3-2 at half time.

We went 4-2 ahead when Shane scored again from the spot after fantastic footwork from Rico earned us another penalty.

From there, we should have seen out the game, but instead we capitulated. Wilton pulled one back from the penalty spot before finding an equaliser with a fantastic strike.

Wilton then nosed ahead when the same player scored his second peach of the game, flicking the ball up before volleying it into the top corner from 25 yards. 😳

With seconds remaining, Shane completed his hat-trick. A long throw into the box caused chaos, Danny got a foot to the ball, it hit the crossbar and rebounded perfectly for Shane to head home.

Crazy game. Crazy goals. Points shared.

⚫️⚪️ Full-Time Result ⚪️⚫️

Following two consecutive draws, our Junior side secured a comprehensive 11-1 victory against Passage this morning at Temple Park.

Star striker Brendan O’Donnell led the attack with an outstanding six goals. The scoring was rounded out with a goal apiece from Josh and Jamie O’Connor, Jordan Morrissey, Gary Connolly, and Evan Greene.

This impressive result brings the team’s record to four wins and two draws in their opening six matches. The squad will aim to maintain their unbeaten run when they return to action next weekend.

The Seniors look to put two below-par games behind them on Saturday when we make the short trip to Pat Bowdren Park.

After a solid start to the league campaign, last week's defeat has seen a massive response from the squad on the training pitch. With a few new faces added to the squad, it promises to be a good game.

⚪️Share of the spoils⚪️⚫️

Our junior team returned to action last night, securing a hard-fought 3-3 draw against Riverstown at the GACA Grounds.

The team made a commanding start, carrying a 2-0 lead into halftime courtesy of well-taken goals from Brendan O’Donnell and Troy Barry. However, a spirited second-half resurgence from Riverstown saw the opposition edge 3-2 ahead with just over 20 minutes remaining.

Showing excellent resolve, striker Brendan O’Donnell found the net once more to level the proceedings at 3-3. Temple pressed relentlessly for a winning goal in the final 15 minutes, but fortune was not in our favor, with a late effort striking the woodwork or narrowly missing the target on a few occasions.

The team will now regroup and focus on their upcoming fixture this Sunday morning.

Our Junior team returns to action this Tuesday evening when they travel to the GACA Grounds to take on Riverstown

Following a hard-fought 2–2 draw away to Blarney in their previous outing, the team will be looking to put in a strong performance and return to winning ways.

We wish Jason, Chrissy and the entire squad the very best of luck ahead of Tuesday’s fixture.

The Seniors were soundly beaten by the better team on Sunday.

A depleted Crosshaven showed fantastic grit, determination and work rate to take all three points. Our goal came very late on as a consolation from Steve.

We dust ourselves down and go again as we prepare for this week’s fixture against Wilton.
