Waterford: 2 Defenders 3 Midfielders 1 Striker

It was a tense game as Waterford from the start started attacking Cope through the vulnerable midfield gaps but against the run of play Dean Ahern with a magic strike found the bottom right of the goal. Michael Cummins shut down every attack till the whistle blew to end the first half to end.

Second half kicked off with further pressure being put on the cope defense un till number 6 put a great strike past David Dunlea to tie the match.

Ballincolig.

Carlow Lined up with two Defenders 3 Midfielders and 1 Striker.

Ballicolig Lined with 2 Defenders 3 Midfielders and 1 Striker.

Kick off was at 10:30

It started as a tense affair between Carlow and Ballincolig were both teams were attacking and defending superbly.
At the final moments of the first half the Captain with a great strike and long time veteran Brian Aldworth puts Ballincolig in the lead for the half time whistle.

Second half kicked off:

Carlow in a fast show of resilience had scored 4 goals in a short space of time and as the heads went down Ballincolig subbed on the rest of the substitutes and within minutes Cian Hurley had changed a 4-1 deficit into a marvellous 4 all game.

The 2022 the MTU finalist Cope SO vs Ballincolig SO 6-1

This game was very one sided as Dean Ahern and Ryan Sewell slotted past Adrian McCaliffe to destroy Ballincolig.

In this match up Michael Cummins and Dean Ahern dominated the Ballincolig mid field and a wonder goals from Stephan O Leary from the 25 yards line and directly from a corner put them on track to lift another title.

This is not the only accoladed from Stephen O Leary as he lead and captained his team Ireland to victory against Morroco in The Special Olympics world games 2024.

And for the Ballincolig side Jamie Wyse got a constellation goal in the dying minutes of the match.

Highlight from the game was a brutal tackle on Cian Hurley in the penalty area and Jamie Wyse with ice in his veins slots it in to secure the win and first MTU Cup for the ballincolig side the tallies man Jamie Wyse has the MTU cup for both Ballincolig and Cope.

For the cope side Dean Ahern slots away for the only goal for the .cope side.
