What a season for our Cork players on the international stage! 🇮🇪🏀

Everyone at CLBB would like to congratulate all those who represented Cork and Ireland through the Basketball Ireland International programmes during the 2025/26 season. 👏

From the International Academies, to the Four Nations tournaments, FIBA Youth EuroBasket competitions, and Masters European Championships this summer, it has been fantastic to see so many Cork players, coaches, and managers involved throughout the international pathway! 🤩🇮🇪

A huge congratulations to everyone who was selected for academies and initial panels, competed internationally, and to those who went on to earn a place in the final 12 of the Irish squads at FIBA Youth EuroBasket 👏🏀

Your commitment, hard work and dedication throughout the season is something to be incredibly proud of. Every selection and every step along the way is an achievement. Well done to all! 💚

As we get ready for the new basketball season, please take note of some important updates for all coaches:

🛡️ Safeguarding 1
A number of Safeguarding 1 online courses are available through Helpside, with limited places on some dates. Note: All coaches must hold a valid Safeguarding 1 certificate.

📋 New FIBA Rules
The Cork Referees DWG will be hosting a session for coaches covering the new FIBA rule changes. A short coaching module is also available on Helpside.
