As the season draws to a close, we wanted to share a little positivity for those clubs and teams who may be facing challenges during the upcoming offseason—whether that's competing in tough leagues, retaining players, or dealing with the lure of LOI football and interest from other overzealous clubs.

This time last year, we were fortunate enough to play our part in the U13 Schoolboys League Final and come away with a memorable victory. It was a fantastic day for everyone involved, made even more special by the fact that these players had been with the club since U7s.
Football can be a rollercoaster, however, and later that season the team suffered relegation from the U13 Premier Division. The disappointment was huge for both players and coaches, but rather than dwell on it, they committed to working even harder.

What followed was one of the toughest pre-seasons we've seen at this age group. Many players from that successful squad moved on, leaving just seven of the cup final team. At one stage, the possibility of the team folding was very real.

But this group refused to give up.

Players, coaches, parents, and the club pulled together. The lads worked tirelessly, welcomed new teammates, and gradually built what was almost an entirely new team. Results didn't come immediately, but their determination never wavered.

Fast forward to today, and they have already secured promotion back to the Premier Division for U15 football. Even more impressively, they now stand just one win away from becoming U14 Division 1 Champions.

All roads lead to Friday night and a League Playoff against a superb Leeside side who play excellent football.

Special Olympics team using Leeds today for trials for the upcoming Olympics. 50 players took part at a sun drenched Leeds Park. Good luck to all involved.
