Another 3 points for the lads on Saturday afternoon, making it 3 league wins in a row after a tough opening few games! πŸ’š

Lachlan McRae opened the scoring inside the first minute, with Peadar Gilroy scoring just after half time to open the floodgates for Lachlan again, going onto score his 2nd and 3rd to secure his hattrick!

Great effort from all the lads, 4 goals, 3 points and a clean sheet. Job done πŸ’šπŸ‘

Inject it. πŸ˜πŸ’‰πŸ’š

Despite a late scare, our lads got a huge win this morning in Ballincollig in an absolute cracker against second place CCC FC πŸ’šπŸ’ͺ

Ryan Murray opened the scoring with rare goals from full back Peadar Gilroy and usual centre half (turned goalie in recent weeks!) Finn Crowley, who got a double; his second being in the 88th minute to win the game! πŸ’šπŸ™Œ

Absolutely delighted with today’s result, which makes it 2 wins on the bounce after a tough start to the season. Today’s win has hugely boosted our chances of climbing the table, with still games in hand on all our opposition.

Congratulations to our 1st batch of Cork Business League Clubs to acheive the FAI Club Mark Entry Level Award – Cork County Council, O’Brien Scaffolding, Martin Harvey Solicitors and ePower East Cork Athletic!

The FAI Club Mark is three tiered accreditation award based on best practice in the governance, management and administration of a football club. Clubs start their journey at Entry Level and can then progress to become a One Star and Two Star club. Each step challenges the club to implement policies and procedures in line with best practice.

Over the last 2 years we have worked hard with each club to help them put governance in place amongst their own Committee members, and ensure that all coaches have the relevant Coaching Licenses and are Garda Vetted through the FAI. Ray Claffey of the FAI has been instrumental in guiding clubs through the process and answering any questions that may come up during the application process.

Over the coming months we hope to add more clubs to the FAI Club Mark list and we are planning on a presentation cerermony to allow each club to receive a recognition of this acheivement in person.

Well done to all clubs so far and here’s to adding more soon!

A good workout today for the lads! πŸ’šπŸ™Œ

A game of experimenting and trying new things, along with our cb/cm stepping in goal due to our keeper absences, and making a penalty double save! 🧀πŸ”₯πŸ‘

Next up we finally kick off our Grandons Second Division campaign vs Ash FC next Saturday the 21st of March at 4:30pm in Mayfield!

A valiant effort from our lads ends in a narrow defeat to premier division Arc Rovers, a team who were only just knocked out of the Munster Junior Cup round of 16 a few weeks ago. This result sees us exit the CBL Shield. πŸ˜”πŸ’š Best of luck to in the next round!

Very proud of what this team achieved in our first shield, beating a strong first division Abbey FC side with 10 men, and going toe to toe with one of the best teams in the whole CBL and seemingly one of the best Junior teams in Munster.

We cannot wait to kick off our second division season! πŸ’šπŸ™Œ
