Irish School of Horsemanship is a school dedicated to producing horsemen who can excel in any horse related discipline. Group and private lessons available in natural horsemanship, dressage, show jumping, western riding., vaulting, and horseback archery. Problem solving a specialty. Trekking, camps, workshops, and shows. Indoor lighted arena, two all weather lighted outdoor arenas, cross country training course, stabling, 50 acres of grass. Nice quiet roads for hacking. Changing room and shower, lounge area. All ages welcome. Intensive specialized courses available. Facility rental available.

Road rally tomorrow Crookstown The MRF Tyres Cork 20 Rally is taking place tomorrow, Saturday, September 26, 2026, causing major road closures and traffic disruptions directly impacting the Crookstown, Lissarda, and Macroom areas.🚧 Road Closure & Diversion Details (Tomorrow)Several special stages will run close by, particularly around Lissarda and Cobblers Cross. If you are looking to watch the rally or just trying to navigate the area, keep these specific Cork County Council traffic diversions in mind:Coachford to Farnanes: Diverted via the R619 (Rooves Bridge) and east to Farran via the N22.Carrigadrohid to Crookstown / N22 / Farnanes: Diverted westerly via the R618 toward Macroom, then east back along the N22.Farnanes to Coachford / Carrigadrohid: Northerly traffic is diverted via the N22 and Farran.Timeframes: Closures on these local stages will be active at various intervals between 07:45 AM and 7:20 PM. Adjoining roads can also be shut for up to 205 meters from major junctions

This course starts tomorrow! Last chance to book in!

This is for anyone who loves horses, and wants to learn more about caring for them. It is building on the Foundation A course last May.

The Irish School of Horsemanship at Lee Valley Equestrian Centre is holding an AIRE Foundation B Stable management course. This course is ideal for anyone who has a small bit of knowledge about horse care, but wants the opportunity to learn more about grooming, feeding, handling and care of horses. This is an entry level course that builds on the foundation A course. suitable for children from ages 7 on up, regardless as to whether they ride or not.
The course is on Saturdays from 10am to 11:30 over 6 weeks, starting September 19. There will be a final test on October 24.
Cost of the course is €90 per person. Please call or Whatsapp 0851415555 if you would like more information.
