We’re delighted to be returning from our summer break on Thursday, 3rd September, and we can’t wait to get back in the pool! 🎉

We’re looking forward to welcoming all our new members and seeing all our returning members back again. 😊

⏰ Class Times:
🔹 Juniors: 7:00pm – 7:40pm
🔹 Seniors: 8:00pm – 8:40pm

📋 Membership forms for the new year will be available at the reception desk, so please make sure to pick one up.

🙋‍♀️ We’re Looking for Volunteers!

We’re also hoping to hear from parents who might be interested in volunteering with the club.

In particular, we would love to hear from anyone who may be interested in becoming an instructor. Don’t worry if you have no previous experience — all training will be provided! 🏊‍♂️

We’d also love to hear from parents who have other skills or talents that they feel could help support the club. Whether you can help in the pool, with administration, events, fundraising, social media, or have another skill you’d like to share, we’d be very happy to hear from you.

Our club is run with the help of volunteers, and every bit of support makes a difference. ❤️

Placement offers for new members joining Monkstown Lifesaving Club this September have now been sent by email to the address provided when you completed the online waiting list form.

Please be sure to check your inbox, spam, and junk folders, just in case our email has been filtered there.

Classes begin on Thursday, 3 September 2026.

The following places have been offered:

Junior Classes (7:00 pm – 7:40 pm)

If you've received an offer, we'd appreciate it if you could reply as soon as possible to accept or decline your place. This helps us offer any remaining places to families still on our waiting list.

Monkstown Lifesaving Club Waitlist If you would like to enrol your child in our club please fill in this form and a member of our team will be in touch when a place becomes available. When a place is offered you will need to fill in a membership form on your first night.

🌊 World Drowning Prevention Day | 25 July

We're fortunate to have beautiful beaches, harbours and coastal amenities across Dún Laoghaire-Rathdown, enjoyed by thousands of residents and visitors every year.
This World Drowning Prevention Day, we're encouraging everyone to stay safe in and around the water. Whether you're swimming at Seapoint, Forty Foot or Sandycove, taking part in water sports, or enjoying a walk along the coast, a few simple precautions can help save lives.

✅ Swim at lifeguarded locations where possible
✅ Never swim alone
✅ Keep children under constant supervision near water
✅ Check weather and sea conditions before heading out
✅ Wear a lifejacket when on the water

This year's theme, "Unite to Turn the Tide", reminds us that we all have a role to play in preventing drowning and keeping our communities safe.

Dust off any unused wetsuits and bring them down to our wetsuit exchange event for Coastival. Swap outgrown or unused wetsuits with other adventurers and do your bit for the environment.

This event is taking place at Moontour, Dún Laoghaire Coal Harbour, on Saturday 11th between 10am - 4pm

🌞 Summer Break Reminder 🌞

Lifesaving training has now finished for the summer at Monkstown Pool, and we'd like to thank all of our members for their hard work, dedication, and enthusiasm throughout the year. 🏊‍♀️🛟🏊‍♂️

We hope everyone has a fantastic summer and enjoys a well-deserved break. We look forward to welcoming you all back when training resumes on the **first Thursday in September**.

If you prefer that your child's photo is not posted on social media we would ask that you abstain from participating in the photo.
We can also arrange to have separate photos taken if you wish to have a photo for personal use, please let yourself be known to a member of our team for arrangement.
