New year-Same us
You are allowed to begin 2026 in the same body, ignoring diet culture and all the noise in your feed telling you about the latest trends, rules and reasons you need to fix it or change it.
We all fall into the comparison trap on social media and it’s not a nice place to be. It’s also what the wellness and diet culture depends on to stay relevant.
If this was your first week back after a break I hope it was a positive, nurturing, life affirming experience that has made you want to go back for more.
Where you walked out feeling
Yes! I can do this.
You are not burning off Christmas calories, or punishing yourself for food you have eaten.
You are rebuilding your confidence, in a body that is completely dedicated to you and that you deserve to love.
I can look at all of the amazing people in my classes and know they are all working out for different reasons, but ultimately the same.
There is power to movement that goes way beyond the negative narrative of shrinking your body.
It is community, connection, mental clarity, to relieve anxiety, to shake off a sh*tty day and to build confidence, strength and resilience.
You do not need to close rings on anything as validation you moved your body.
Make this the year that you take care of the content you consume on social media.
The noise, the pressure, the wellness trends, the perfect lives, perfect houses and perfect bodies.
Real life is much more interesting.
Move your body just for you and
do 2026 with the same beautiful body, with maybe a little or a lot more kindness towards it.
