Sportsworld Roundup🔴⚪️

💫 Magic Madden wins the Jim McNamara trophy.
The club was represented by Lisa Madden, Lorna Quinn, Sinead Staunton, Louise Bruton and Aoife Carroll at the Autumn Open Cross Country on Sunday. Lisa won the masters race🥇 and in the process earned her place on the Irish team for the upcoming British and Irish. Congratulations Lisa and well done to everyone who took part.

💫On October 11th, Richard Lacey came third in the North Leitrim Glens Half Marathon. 🥉

💫 On October 10th, Katie Nugent took part in the LauraLynn 10k.

Sportsworld Roundup 🔴⚪️

As marathon preparations continue a number of club members took on big distance races over the weekend.

🥇 congratulations to Niall Carden who took the win at the O’Dubhda Challenge 20 mile race in Sligo. Maith thú 👏

💫 the club was well represented at the Longwood 3/4 marathon. Tim Conroy led the club home, while Gemma Ryan was first female.

💫 well done to everyone who competed in the Dublin Novice championship in Phoenix Park. The men led home by Trevor Sweeney came 10th and the women led home by Michelle Burke took 6th

Sportsworld Weekly Roundup 🔴⚪️

💫 the club was well represented at the Irish Life Half Marathon. For some this was important preparation for the big day in October. First male home for the club was Eoin Fitzpatrick in 79:33. First female was Michelle Bourke in 89:55. Well done all 👏

👏 congratulations to Cian Buckley on completing his 400th park run on Saturday.

🏆 Clew Bay Half Marathon
Huge congratulations to Karol Cronin, who continued his winning streak with another victory at the hilly Louisburgh Half Marathon in 1:13! 👏🏆

⭐ Ratoath AC Half Marathon
Owen Grogan led the Sportsworld men home in an exceptional 1:17 PB, with Emma Meade leading the ladies in 1:37 PB. Stephen Shally, Tim Murphy & April Geraghty were also in action. Well done all! 👏

⭐ Break 4 the Border Half Marathon, Newry
Ivor O’Brien tackled a slippery course with a headwind and still ran a superb 1:22. Great run Ivor! 👏

⭐ Medieval 10K, Kilkenny
Sarah Gilgunn was out helping to inspire her friend through her first ever 10K. Fair play Sarah! 👏

⭐ Charleville Half Marathon
Paul O’Connell led the Sportsworld men home in 1:28, with Tim Conroy and Adam Furlong also having great runs. Deirdre O’Connell represented the girls with an excellent 1:31! 👏

⭐ Lucan 5 Mile
Katie Nugent took on the 5 Mile and we hear the post-race spread was very impressive!😋 Lovely running Katie! 👏

💫 Greenway Marathon, Saturday 29th August. Congratulations to Luke Hickey on his strong performance, running 76:56

💫Di**le Half Marathon: Saturday 5th September. A large contingent made the annual trip to the Di**le Peninsula for the very popular Half Marathon. Karol Cronin was star of the show taking second place on a hilly and challenging course. Ruth Kelly was first female home for the club

💫 the final graded meet took place in Morton Stadium on Wednesday. Congratulations to Donal, Richie, Emma and Elaine for their strong performances in the 1500m races.

💫 Congratulations to Martin Doyle and Eileen Rowland, who took part in the Leinster 10 mile race in Raheny on Sunday.

💫Katie Nugent took part in the Inner City 5k races on Sunday morning. Well done Katie 💪

💫finally congratulations to Ian Comerford who took part in the Feile Phobail 10k in Belfast on Sunday.

Sportsworld weekly Roundup 💫

✨Well done to all Donal Brennan, Liam Slevin, Richie Lacey and Timothy Morahan who took part in the graded meet on Wednesday evening.

✨Big congratulations to Aoife Carroll who was First Lady at the night of 5k pbs in Arklow on Saturday

✨On Sunday a large contingent of Sportsworld runners took park in the National 10 mile held in Phoenix Park. Special congratulations to our over 50 women’s team who took home national bronze. Karol Cronin was our first male home and took bronze in his age category. Meghan Wall was our first female.

Sportsworld Roundup ❤️🤍

⭐ On Wednesday, 1st July, Eoin O'Brien, Stephan de Vries, Sinéad Staunton and Deirdre O'Connell tackled the IMRA Sorrell Hill Race, taking on the challenging 10km mountain course with over 600m of climbing!

⭐ On Saturday, 4th July, Sportsworld members were in action at two half marathons. Owen Grogan, Neil Collins and Sandra Telford ran the scenic Clontarf Half Marathon, while Andrew Murphy completed the hilly Achill Half Marathon.

⭐ On Thursday, 9th July, over 60 Sportsworld runners lined up for the Docklands 5K. Dylan Keegan led the club home in 16:36. Lisa Madden was 3rd female in 16:51, helping the ladies' team to 3rd place alongside Megan Walls and Deirdre O'Connell.

Special congratulations to Owen Grogan on breaking the 17-minute barrier for the first time, and to Deirdre O'Connell (1st F45), Eileen Rowland (1st F60) and Trevor Sweeney (1st M50).

⭐ On Sunday, 12th July, Sportsworld runners were back in action at the Irish Life Fingal 10K. Congratulations to Dan Clemo on an Irish PB of 34:59 and to Noreen Brouder, who finished 1st in the F45 category. 💫
