Taín Way at 40 🎈Opened in 1986 , the Taín Way was one of Irelands first long distance trails. 40km of the wonderful Cooley Peninsula..A group of us took it on a few months after it opened so it was time to go again .
A group of 40 Hardy Bucks with Ellie Berry of Tough Soles made it around this week as part of the Boyne Valley Trails Festival Boyne Valley Trails. 2 days of great walking .

This Months walk took place at Rockmarshall in the Cooley Peninsula.We visited the site of the Liberator plane crash of 1942. Then we headed towards Sliabh na gCloch . Frocken Sunday was traditionally celebrated on the last Sunday of July and was part of the ancient Celtic festival of Lughnasa. walk along the river from Oldbridge House westwards to explore a less walked and a beautiful part of the Boyne Valley.

No dogs allowed other than Guide dogs.

🌀Boyne Valley Walking is a Member of Leave no Trace 🍃

Minimum Gear: Waterproof footwear essential , rain gear, gloves , hat , water and snacks. We recommend bringing a walking stick/pole. There will be muck!….but thats part of the fun. Walk is moderate grade with uneven and wet ground.

Trails and Tides weekend-Join us on Sunday 31st May as we head into the trees and woods along a less walked section of the Boyne River.
