Drogheda United can confirm that Jason Bucknor has departed the club due to personal reasons.

The 24-year-old made 22 appearances in all competitions for the club during the 2026 season.

We thank Jason for his contributions this season and wish him all the best in the future.

This week, first team player Fynn Talley visited St. Olivers NS & Scoil Naomh Cholmcille, Togher as part of the Claret & Blue Learning Together Programme.

This school football programme for primary schools delivers an inclusive football programme focusing on the aspect that football is fun, promoting respect & understanding, promote wellbeing and positive mental health and learning importance team building skills that can then be applied to their classroom and other areas of their lives.

This programme is supported by our Community partners Fitz Scientific and Healthy Louth.

We are hosting a Matchnight Food Drive in partnership with local charities who distribute food to families in need, at Friday’s match vs Derry City.

We invite home & away supporters to bring the following food items from 6.15pm onwards: Tea, coffee, sugar, biscuits, pasta, rice, pasta sauces, beans, spaghetti, cereals, soups and pot noodles.

Drop off spots: Clubhouse car park & Inside turnstiles on the Crosslanes!

Our bucket collection on Friday night will also see all donations made go directly to the food drive to aid local charities in their work.

Local charities and organisations who will benefit from this food drive are The Red Door Project - LCDAT , The FoodShare Project -Drogheda region, Drogheda Homeless Aid, Drogheda Womens and Children Refuge Centre, Connect Frc & The Community House, Rathmullan.
