🏸 **A LOOK BACK BEFORE WE GET STARTED AGAIN!🏸

Before we get stuck into the new season and our league matches, we wanted to take a moment to look back at a couple of big days from the end of last season.

🏆 INTER LEAGUE FINALS 2026

Our Boyne teams made it all the way to the Inter League Finals at the University of Limerick, with teams competing across Grade F and Grade H.

It wasn't to be in the end, but both teams gave it everything and there was some fantastic badminton played throughout the day. Getting to the Inter League Finals itself was a brilliant achievement, and we're incredibly proud of everyone involved!

🏅 LOUTH LEAGUE FINALS

There was plenty more success closer to home, with Boyne players featuring heavily in the Louth League Finals:

🥈 Grade 5 Men's — Runners-Up
🏆 Grade 7 Men's — Winners
🏆 Grade 7 Mixed — Winners

A fantastic way to finish off the season, with some great performances and plenty of medals coming back to Boyne! 🏆👏

🏸JUNIOR CLUB🏸

We also want to take a moment to recognise Anthony Halligan, who stepped down from the Junior Club at the end of last season after an incredible 12 years of dedication.

The fantastic state the Junior Club is in today is a direct result of the hard work Anthony has put in week after week, alongside Jim and all the helpers from the adult club. While the many medals and trophies our Juniors have won over the years are a testament to that work, Anthony's greatest legacy can be seen simply by looking around the hall on any given club night.

As a token of our appreciation for everything Anthony has given to the club over the past 12 years, he was presented with a piece of custom artwork created by Phil Daly Art.

A massive thank you, Anthony, for everything you have done for Boyne Badminton Club and for the lasting legacy you leave behind.

A slightly overdue post, but these achievements definitely deserved their moment!

Now, with the new season underway, it's time to get back on court, get the matches going and see what this season brings!

Best of luck to all our teams for the season ahead!🏸

Also to the players from Ardee Badminton Club and Dundalk who travelled down to give our teams some excellent practice matches ahead of the finals. 👏

🏸 A fantastic day at the Blackrock Tournament!

A huge thank you to Blackrock Badminton Club and Michael Kerley for organising such a brilliant tournament and raffle. The event was a huge success both on and off the courts. 👏

An incredible €1000 was raised for SOSAD Ireland - a fantastic achievement for a very important cause.

We’re also delighted to say that Boyne came away as winners in both the Grade 5 and Grade 6 sections!

Well done to all players involved and thanks again to everyone who helped make it such a great day.
