Week 4 of The Best Darts Summer League in Dublin was played out in Argentina last night, with a zephyr of Buenos Aires blowing through the Home of Darts on the Northside and the majority (everybody but one) realising how close we felt to Admiral Brown and Alec MacAllister, a few games of Darts needed to be played.
Feeling like 34 degrees it was that number that entered the comp. A couple of prelims would see Dave o Connell and Al Burke depart.
L32
On board 3 it would be Brian Colgan outlasting the masterbater, Aido on his blow when eventually overcoming Mikey Mac, Niall getting a tough draw and a beating from Robyn, a Swords duel would see the potato picker Paulie put poor Eamonn onto the tablet. Gawds gift sitting last week's beaten finalist Joe down, Terry being very Meehan when getting past misé. Seona too good for The Joker, Ross brushing Andy Flood aside. In a mini shock, Kyros was deservedly beaten by DoC. Another Whitehall match up saw Phil who was throwing well and throwing plenty of hugs too when dispatching Paddy Mann. Ray Ennis was on fire beating Hutch who would be back later. Also advancing were James Connolly, Taylor, Lewis, Killian and Mossy. The vanquished were, AK47, Shane o Halloran, Philly, Alan Collins and The rubberbandit Mick Creedon.
L16
With whoever Argentina were playing looking likely to have a match on Sunday and The Hall a bit glum, we rolled on, Aido having borrowed Aidie Lewis arm (88.4ave) Brian Colgan was marking. Robyn continued on her merry way with Paulie the latest vic. Delboy downed by Terry in a high scoring game, a Phibsboro House (till Sean signs for the hall) saw Ross finish 2nd. DoC was hoarse at this stage after bending the ears off everyone about his win over Kyros, didn't know that Phil turned off the aids and eased into last 8. Razor doing enough to beat Shane. Lewis playing Taylor but only hearing ArgetIrisha cheers as the equaliser went in, Lewis would win 2:1 as would our Celtic cousins ArgentIrisha. 🇦🇷😪. Completing the L8 lineup was Mossy when beating Mighty Motor.
ROLLOVER
€100 PER TREBLE. AND WITH EVERYONE KNOWING A WHCC PLAYER WOULD BE SUMMONED WE HAD DONNA UP TO ENSURE FAIR PLAY...AND OUT COMES HUTCH😬😬. 9 PRACTICE DARTS LATER AND UIMHER A TRÍ WAS THE TREBLE. NO LUCK FOR NOEL.
L8
A top notch L8 with quality everywhere. Unfortunately Aido would run into Robyn who chose The Hall over a trip to Vegas and Robyn would guarantee herself 6pts.
Phibs beat Phibs when Terry (a really nice shirt on this week) beating the Vatican kid. In a battle of the cueballs Phil would pocket Razor 2:1.. After the disappointment of the match there was more for Lewis when going dn to Mossy.
L4
Result wise it looked like comfortable wins for Robyn and Mossy both winning 3:0, but the matches were much closer. A fantastic 14 dart leg for Robyn to see Terry off, while 2 legs of 18 darts helped Mossy beat Phil.
FINAL
With no leg taking more than 22 darts and all 5 legs played (19, 22, 19, 19, 20) it would be Mossy winning his 2nd week of this years Summer League, congratulations Mossy, well done Robyn. Thanks to our sponsors .com . James and Gavin behind the bar, Mikey, Jon, Ray, Aido and all the players.
Till next week.
"¡Felicidades, Argentina! Mala suerte, Inglaterra. ¡Adiós! Hasta la próxima semana."

Well, well well, or should it swell, swell, swell as in sweltering🥵🥵..with the temperature nearly matching the entries 38!! Week 1 of The Best Darts Summer League in Dublin returned to Whitehall Colmcille GAA Club last night.
Some quality players on the premises for the night, and a few of them were not on the oche as long. One who should've been on the premises may regret it😬, more later!
With a new scoring system and app in use .com and it's creator in attendance we had the deaw at 8pm. Six prelims or round of 64, would see Adam Whelan (only in the door) fall to Killian, Joe would cream the masterbater although Pat had his chances. Sam would be DoC 1st victim ( a starter b4 his main course)😉. A clash of titans would see Nurse Keogh leave Terry answering questions as to where he got that shirt from! The Hutch fell to The Rec that is Razor Ennis and newbie Gary Griffin was pummelled by defending champion Seona.
LAST 32
Killian marched on beating the man named after 2 dart players Taylor Jenkins. NCDL Singles Champion Ger beat teammate Anto Mullen. Paulies brudder trumped forty Coates Adam. The Migic man did his abracadabra on Brian Colgan. Another Dublin 1st team clash saw Joe down Anto Caldwell who probably thought his night couldn't get any worse ( eh it could)! Hungry for his main course, which came in the shape of Dublin 1st team player Alan Richards🤩DoC advanced in 3 legs. It was noted by some that he was emailing Marty Morrissey to get a mention on the Sunday game for this achievement!! JP would be beaten by Al Burke (happy birthday Al). Gawds gift Delboy beat debutant Rory Clarke. Ross the Boss sent JK packing. Eamonn beat Shane. While Lewis sent Alan Collins to the tablet. Phil dispatched Aido which was a great help to the organisers. Rec Razor had Jon Hoban wishing if only in hit that double! Paddy Mann would send Aidan Keogh to the sidelines in 3 legs. Seona not tested in a 2:0 win over Dave o Donnell, and finishing this round Robyn would be through beating yours truly...
LAST 16
Killian marched on when beating the NCDL number 1 Ger, but Ger would be in the moolah later. Dado still conjuring beat his Swords teammate Will who sees his own future on the golf course. Joe would see off birthday boy Al (always a party pooper). There would be no dessert for DoC unless ya call a tablet dessert, beaten by Farmer Barry. Ross showing no respect for the aged sent Eamonn crying into the loving arms of Pat. Lewis also progressed when beating the Halls Phil. New Hall signing Herr Mann proved too good for old Hall player Ray, ( we would reward Paddy later)🤣. Completing the last 8 would be Robyn when beating NCDL number 2 (who cares) Seona😅..
ROLLOVER
With a very tidy week 1 rollover pot of €290, despite Mossys antics last finals night, we had Yvonne up to draw the winning ticket, which as it happened turned into a losing ticket🤭. Name drawn out Anto Caldwell who had done an Elvis and left the building🫣. So as befitting the committee decided to really welcome Paddy on board and reward him for signing!!! Players take note😅😅. Lucky number 17 was drawn and 3 darts later Paddy was€90 richer ( not a bad signing on bonus!💶💶💶
LAST 8
BELL ENDS SWORDS HOPES, Killian used his Magic Hands to bamboozle The Migic Man and Joe sorted the wheat from the chaff when grounding Delboy. Robyn would make it 3 Bells tinkling into the last 4 taking care of the Rollover winner, she was to be joined by Ross who ensured it wouldn't be a final 4 from The Bell as he overcame Lewis.
SEMI FINALS
In a best of 5 semi finals it would be Killian and Robyn to be our week 1 finalists, both winning on 3-1 scorelines.
FINAL
What was always gonna be a ding-dong battle ( I'll get me coat), it would be Motor Mouth winning on a 3-1 scoreline. Well done Killian and hard luck Robyn 👏.
Massive thanks to our sponsors , , (Glen Murphy) tiling (Mark Fitzpatrick) and our scoring system .com, which stood up admirably well,(Aido Cuffe). High checkout went to Ger Scully.
