Hi thanks for the recent condolences on and off the mat.
Because Lisa was active in Competition Judo representing Daigokan Judo
Club until she was 16 and also because she helped out at tables
subsequently including The Swords Open and Veteran Gradings and
Competitions, there is great support and interest from the judo
community and I would like to update the information.
Please also note that Wild Geese Judo Club will be closed this Friday
12th May as a mark of respect.

I'm kind of cheating by using an older photo of Amy (I think) who took Gold at the All Ireland Club Championships last Saturday 1st April. If I get a better picture I will share it. Please note DAIGOKAN CLOSED until Thursday 13th April 2023. Thank you Donal Tannam Club Secretary PS I am still trying to solve the mystery (to me, anyway) of two parallel pages with the exact same name. One of the pages only gets a few likes. But, as administrator, I am unable to see which one I am posting on or what the difference is.

Great weekend at The Galway Open 11th Mar 2023. Well done, Amy (Gold), Zac (Gold) and Marija (two Bronze) who flew the Daigokan flag and Artur (Gold and Bronze) from Wild Geese who also trains with us sometimes. Special thanks to Jack proud father who drove two of the players and provided us with these pictures.
Amy,Zac and Artur have being doing judo for a while either here or abroad but we are particularly proud of Marija who only joined the IJA in June 2022; this was her first competition.

post-pandemic we are coming back slowly but surely; classes are filling up again...two individuals coached by John Douglas took medals last weekend (2022/05/28 at the 35th Anniversary High Wycombe Masters Tournament. Possibly the first Irish father and son duo to do so?.......
