Don't count the days, make the day's count - Muhammad Ali

Could I do a shoot without posting a pic with an Ali quote? I think not

But the reason I think this one applies most at this time of year is that every year I hear all of the following quotes

“I’ll start in the new year”

“New year, New me”

“I have too many nights out over the next two months”

“The cold nights make it so hard to go to the gym”

Sound familiar?

Let me guess you said that last year too.

The reality is yes there aren’t many days left in the year but why see that as a reason to put your goals off for even longer,

If you can make and maintain good habits in your busiest time of the year they will last for life, whereas if you start simply based on new year's motivation that won’t stick around.
so as the champ says make these last days count rather than counting the days till you start to do something today to bring you one step closer to achieving the happier, healthier and fitter you that you want to be✨

Post show updates

Show Day ➡️Todays Check In

Just coming up to 3 weeks post show,and it literally feels like prep was years ago already🤣

But I’m v happy with the look I feel healthy,full of energy and training is better than ever.

3kg up since show day which is really not that bad considering how much food I’m having.

We are currently on 2,800 cals x 2 Days per week , 2,200 cals x 5 Days per week with one off plan meal per week and there hasn’t been too much fat gain afew lines are fading but I’ll take that for feeling good.

Being lean was great and I’ll never not be proud of myself for the extremes I went through to get myself there but it’s not sustainable to keep for a long period of time,
I’m still eating healthy and fuelling my body with nutrient dense food sources while also trying to let go a little here and there and enjoying moments that involve food getting comfortable in these situations again.

I can’t wait to make a return to the stage when the time is right and my shoulders have doubled in size,I feel in my first season I came to take part and enjoyed every minute of it but next time I was to come to be competitive.

The thoughts of that alone is what pushes me each day to do better🙌🏼

Be too busy watering your own grass that you don’t notice who’s is greener💧

May just seem like a basic bitch quote but seriously the world we live in now, we can become so consumed in what others our doing when we really need to focus on ourselves.

Prep for example
The most selfish thing I ever did?
Yes

Is that a bad thing?
No

Doesn’t have to be as extreme but look after you,stop the people pleasing,the comparisons and watch the results come.

First Show Day✨

Wow what an experience this sport is everything to me and being on stage confirmed that for me I truly felt at home.
Im so proud of everything I put into this Iv shown myself that I truly can do anything I want during my time on this earth,there’s things looking back I would do differently on show day so I am itching to go again and each time improve and learn.
I love this process If you told me I could never step on stage again I would still wake up and have my Meal 1 that’s on my plan,train,pose and want to improve that’s what I enjoy although it’s hard for people to understand sometimes but the support I was given throughout the process on show day was truly amazing and those people know who they are and how much that means to me,
Show day 2 is on the way and I know that soon enough my competitive season this year closing and I am going to take judges feedback on board and keep going
With less than two weeks to go until PCA Ireland I really want to take in every single moment left on prep and am so excited for my next show to be able to have my support system by my side the countdown is on.
Thank you to everyone that showed love throughout prep and on show day I appreciate it all✨

What is log booking your training?📚
Basically just keeping a log of each session , reps /sets you did,weights lifted etc.
I do it myself and for all my clients at the sessions we do together because I believe without it it is very hard to ensure you are applying progressive overload.

Log booking allows you to see exactly what you did in your last session to ensure that you are progressing or even if you aren’t it’s all data you can look at these trends and assess what the issue may be.

It’s also very good for mindset I find having it there helps me go for that extra rep each week even when I may have given up if I wasn’t aware of what I even done in the previous session.

You can literally use any copybook at all or get a specific exercise log book all up to the individual but I would recommend it especially if you are serious about making progress📈
