The next National Squad Session will be held on Sunday 14th May 2023 at the Cabinteely Community School in Dublin.

Venue: Cabinteely Community School, Johntown Road, Dublin D18 VH73

Schedule for the day:
10am – Check In
10:30am – 12pm – Ne Waza (Technical & Randori)
12pm – Refuel
1pm – 3pm – Tachi Waza (Technical & Randori)

National Coach Lead: Nathon Burns

Coaches: Provincial & Club Coaches are more than welcome & recommended to attend.

Mat Fee: Free

Age Bracket: 15+ “Competitive/ Experienced Cadets and above” Anyone under 18, must be accompanied by a club coach or parent.

Looking to become a judo referee... for free?! Well Leinster Judo Council have got you covered!

Leinster Judo Council are running a FREE Referee and Trainee program starting Sunday 21st May 2023 from 10:00am to 13:00pm at Kodokan Ireland, Cabinteely Community School.

Specific requirements for this event:
15years old minimum at date of course.
2nd KYU Blue belt.
IJA license must be presented on the day.
All participants must be garda vetted.

This Sunday, April 30th Kodokan Ireland with be at the ‘experience Japan 2023’ event in farmleigh house to do a Judo demonstration from 12:30-13:00!🥋

This is an amazing event showcasing all things Japanese and be sure to get down to see Kodokan on the day

We would like to wish everyone a safe trip and the best of skills for the Leinster players that will attend the NORTHERN IRELAND OPEN this weekend.

The Leinster Squad coach will be at the event Saturday and Sunday and as e-mailed to all Leinster clubs if any player needs any help they can contact Anderson Santos by phone`s number or approach him at the venue and he will gladly try to help you.

Swords Judo ‘Farewell’ Invitational Event 2023🥋

It’s time to say farewell to Leo & Tim as they announced Swords Judo Club has closed its doors after over 30 years of Judo.

The Swords Team, whom we all know so well from organising competitions locally, provincially and nationally are hosting their final Swords Event.

Details below for clubs to enter players or just to come along and say hello/goodbye….

The details for the event are as follows:

📆Date - Sunday 7th May 2023
📍Where - Phibblestown Community Centre
⏰Time - Competition starts at 10:00am
🏋️Weigh in - Sunday 7th May 2023 from 9.00am to 9.30am
💶 Entry Fee - €25
👉📅 Last date for entries is Monday 1st May 2023.

On the day there will also be a trophy awarded for the best throw (as judged by table staff & referees) for EACH category🏆🥇

IJF and the International Testing Agency (ITA) are inviting everyone to attend the next edition of the ITA webinar series.

The topics cover all major fields of anti-doping, as before, from the principles of anti-doping activities through practical info on the doping control process for in and out-of-competition tests. Medications and supplements will be discussed thoroughly along with sanctions and how to protect sports by speaking up.
