An hour dedicated to you… a real treat for yourself

11/05/2026

Showing up for yourself looks different every day. Sometimes it’s a full class, sometimes it’s just getting through the door. Both count.

Last week we had pastries from our neighbours at Orange Tree Bakery in Rathmines waiting after class 🥐 because community is kind of the whole point of this place.

The reformer is where you come for yourself. The bit after is where you stay for each other.

The reformer is just equipment. What actually makes the difference is who’s in the room with you.

A good instructor notices when you’re compensating. They remember that your left hip is tighter than your right. They push you on the days you’re coasting and ease off on the days you need it. They make a hard class feel doable and a doable class feel worth showing up for.

Some clients have been with us for ages, going from beginner, to improver to intermediate…. and maybe now have the courage to move to advanced? 🖤🌚

Bridge flow looks deceptively easy. You’re lying on your back, feet on the footbar, hips lifting up and down. How hard can it be? Give it four reps and your glutes will answer that question for you.

But there’s more going on here than just a good glute burn. When you press through your feet and peel your hips off the carriage, you’re firing up your glutes, hamstrings and deep core stabilisers simultaneously. The moving carriage adds instability, so your body has to work overtime to control the motion. That’s the reformer doing its thing. Turning a simple bridge into a full posterior chain wake up call.

The real gold is in the spinal articulation. Rolling up one vertebra at a time, rolling back down with control. It’s not dramatic but it’s one of the best things you can do for spinal mobility, especially if you’re desk-bound most of the day.

Slow it down. Feel the carriage. Don’t let momentum steal the work. The burn at rep six is the point. Stay in it.

March Matness wrapped! We are a reformer Pilates studio, but this month, we went back to fundamentals and revisited some Mat Pilates moves.

It’s great to build from the fundamentals and add on, building strength from Beginner all the way to Advanced, consistently over time 🕰️

Flat back, engaged core, neutral spine.

Tabletop looks simple but does everything. It teaches your body what proper alignment actually feels like, builds the foundation for every movement on the reformer, and quietly strengthens all the stabilizers that actually matter.

Master this position and everything else gets easier.

Strong arms. An open chest. Shoulders that actually sit where they’re supposed to.
Reformer Pilates builds real upper body strength, it just does it without the ego.

Come see for yourself. 🤍
