National Qualification: Three (3) teams per county, per age group, Teams qualify from the County.
โ€ข Entries are to be made online via the Club Competition Secretary/Secretary only.
โ€ข U16s may NOT compete in 4 x 400m Relays.
โ€ข In the U12 to U17 age groups an athlete may move up one age group but at least 2 members of a competing relay team, participating in each round of that event on that day must be of the correct age.
โ€ข In the U18 & U19 age groups all athletes may move up one age group. An U18 relay team can be made up of 4 x U17 athletes.
โ€ข An U19 relay team can be made up of 4 x U18 athletes.
โ€ข Athletes may compete in a maximum of 3 relay teams on the day.

PACKED SCHEDULE AT THIRD DUBLIN GRADED MEETING
Alexey Marchenko (Rathfarnham WSAF) won the Dublin 10,000m Championships title at the third DublinGraded Meet held in Irishtown on Wednesday (May 20). Marchenko and defending champion Pierce Geoghegan (Liffey Valley AC) battled it for the first half of the race before Marchenko pulled away to win in 32 mins 31.74 secs. Geoghegan was second in 32:45.83 and his Liffey Valley club mate Geoffrey Alexandreโ€™s third in 33:09. Rathfarnham WSAF was the winning team ahead of Liffey Valley with Blackrock AC third. Also taking place were the Dublin 400m championships. Jack Byrne (Crusaders won the menโ€™s title with Freyja Oโ€™Carroll (Raheny Shamrock AC) the womenโ€™s winner. Winning the Dublin womenโ€™s javelin title was Irish record holder Anita White (Dundrum South Dublin AC). Best of the men was junior athlete Joe Bracken (Lucan Harriers) with a personal best 44.41m In the long jump, also a Dublin Championships, the winners were Alfie Casey (Crusaders AC) and Alexandra Fellner Ring (Dundrum South Dublin). Also taking place were graded 1500m races and winning the A race in some style was Ben Brunton (St Brigidโ€™s AC) in 3:56.67. David Carroll (Liffey Valley) was second in 4:07.09 and Oisin Dunne (Metro St Brigidโ€™s AC) third in 4:08.012. With no A or B graded womenโ€™s races, Alison Walsh (UCD AC) took a narrow win in an absorbing womenโ€™s grade C race from Alice Hickey (Rathfarnham WSAF AC) and Caroline Crowley (Crusaders AC) The winning time was 5:06.42. Shot put winners were Isabel Mullarney (Rathfarnham WSAF AC) and Mark Tierney (Dundrum South Dublin AC). Full results elsewhere on this site.

RELAY RECORD FOR DSD IN SPAIN
Highlight of Dundrum South Dublinโ€™s appearance at the European Clubs Track and Field Championships in Castellรณn, Spain was an Irish club record of 3:38.64 in the womenโ€™s 4 x 400m. Making up the team were Molly Hourihan, Kate Doherty, Mollie Oโ€™Reilly and Evelyn Kwik. Picking up valuable points for the men was Paul Oโ€™Donnell who finished fifth in the 5000m in 15:11.13 on Saturday and fourth in the 3000m a day later in 8:27.56. Overall the Dundrum South Dublin men finished tenth and the women 12th. It was the first time Ireland was represented by a single club in both men and womenโ€™s categories.

TRACK AND FIELD - LEINSTER CHAMPIONSHIPS
Dublin sprinters had a good outing at the Leinster Senior, U20 and Masters Track and field Championships in Carlow over the weekend. In the U20 womenโ€™s 100m, Gloria Oigbochie (Tallaght AC) finished second in 12.14 and was also third in the 200m. Her Tallaght club mate Uche Disu won the U23 race in 12.19, with Debbie Lawal (UCD AC) second in 12.27. Luis Blinco (Metro St Brigidโ€™s AC) won the U20 menโ€™s 400m in 49.19 with Kamal Oresanya (Titans AC) was third in 50.10. Jack Byrne (Crusaders) was second in the senior menโ€™s 400m in 51.42, and Scott Dunne (Dundrum South Dublin AC) third in 51.48. Over 800m, Robyn Carey (Lucan Harriers) won the U20 race in 2:12.86. A comfortable winner of the menโ€™s senior 110m hurdles in 14.97 secs was Sean Owens (Crusaders AC). In the field, reigning Irish champion Daphni Doulaptsi Teeuwen (Raheny Shamrock AC) won the womenโ€™s triple jump with a best of 12.82. In a Dublin double, Michael McCarthy (Donore Harriers) took the menโ€™s title. Eoin Sheridan (Clonliffe Harriers) proved the class of the field in the menโ€™s discus winning with a throw of 55.84. His club-mate, Niall Allen (Clonliffe Harriers) won both shot and weight for distance in the over 50 age group.

In the masters sprints, many times world champion, Edel Maguire (Clonliffe Harriers, W65) was a treble winning in the 100m, 200m, and 400m. Sinead Oโ€™Connor (Metro St Brigidโ€™s AC, W40) won the 00m and long jump and Dara Carr (LSA AC, W55) the 100m and 200m titles in her age group. Other master winners included Rachel Murphy (Plant Based AC,W40) 1500m. Breda Smyth (Lucan Harriers, W50) 800m, 3000m; Lea Fulcher (Plant Based AC, M50) 800m,1500m; Michael Counsel (Raheny Shamrock AC, M55) 800m, 1500m; Pat McCavana (M65) 3000m; Gary Park (Crusaders AC, M50) steeplechase; George Wyatt (DSDAC, M55) long jump; Xavier Hubert (LSA AC, M45) high jump and Peadar McGinn (DSDAC, M70) high jump and weight. In the mixed 4 x100m relay, Metro St Brigidโ€™s were the winners and Lucan Harriers second. MSB was also second in the menโ€™s 4 x100m. LSA AC won the womenโ€™s 4 x100m.

In Belfast, at the BMC Record Breaker Series at the Mary Peters track, on Saturday (May 23), Finn Woodger (Metro St Brigidโ€™s AC) finished second in the menโ€™s A 800m with a time of 1:48.88. Juan Ignacio Peรฑa (Raheny Shamrock) clocked 8:24.14 for sixth in the 3000m followed by Louis Oโ€™Loughlin (Donore Harriers) seventh in 8:25.58. In the menโ€™s mile, Louie Woodger (Metro St Brigidโ€™s) was seventh in 4:07.07.

ROADS - TRAVERS ON TOP IN ENFIELD
In a thrilling finish to the race, John Travers (Donore Harriers) sprinted home clear of Colm Rooney (Clonliffe Harriers, M40) and Sean Tobin (Clonmel AC) for victory at the annual Enfield 5km in Co Meath on Tuesday (May 19). Leading home almost 700 finishers, Travers finished in 13 mins 45 secs, followed by Rooney in 13:48 and Tobin in 13:49. Eddie Oโ€™Connor (Brothers Pearse), recent winner of the Terenure 5-Mile, finished sixth in 14:57. In the womenโ€™s race, Lisa Madden (Sportsworld) finished fourth in 16:49. Dublin masters winners were Caoimhe Kilroy (Metro St Brigidโ€™s AC) W45, Michael Counsel (Raheny Shamrock AC) M55 and Richard Kavanagh (Crusaders AC) M70. Dundrum South Dublin led home 29 teams in the mixed team category, with Sportsworld third. DSD was also the winning womenโ€™s team ahead of Sportsworld and Crusaders AC. Clonliffe Harriers proved best of 34 menโ€™s teams beating Donore Harriers and DSD.

The club official responsible for issuing the bib numbers should ensure the athletes are wearing the correct numbers and advise the check in officialโ€™s 40 minutes in advance of a track contest if an athlete is not competing and provide the name and bib number.

Please note, there is very little parking at Irishtown Stadium and roads nearby. On-street parking can be found a little further away in the wider area past the park on Cambridge Road, South Lotts Road, Bath Avenue, etc. Please allow for a 15/20-minute walk.
There is some paid parking available 15 minutesโ€™ walk away at Shelbourne Greyhound Stadium on South Lotts Road (overflow access at signs for Sportsco).
๐ŸšŒ For Public transport, the stadium is served by the following bus routes โ€“ C1, C2, 47, S2, and 82, all within 3 minutes walking distance. Also, the C3, C4, C5 and C6 have termini 15-minute walk away, as is the Dart station on Lansdowne Road.
If using street parking, please consider the residents and do not obstruct their entrances, and refrain from parking in the housing estate between the Stadium and Sean Moore Road so as not to infringe on residents.
We would like to discourage people from parking (other than core staff) or approaching the stadium due to narrow roads.

There are limited car park spaces in the car park at the Conliffe club entrance. Do not park in the sectioned off area reserved for Conliffe club members.
Please be advised you will need to find car parking in the wider area, and not to impede residentsโ€™ driveways or park on cycle lanes or footpaths in the vicinity of the stadium.

๐ŸŒŽ Irishtown Stadium

The third Dublin Graded League, number 3 of 8, is scheduled for Wednesday, May 20th at Irishtown Stadium, Ringsend. We return to Irishtown after a gap of some five years to compete on the beautiful new red Mondo track there.

๐Ÿ– Please see the timetable here starting at 18.45 and note times may change during the evening.

๐Ÿ…ฟ Please note there is very little parking at Irishtown Stadium and on roads close by. On-street parking can be found a little further away in the wider area past the park on Cambridge Road, South Lotts Road, Bath Avenue etc. Please allow for 15/20 minute walk. There is some paid parking available 15 minutesโ€™ walk away at the Shelbourne Park Greyhound Stadium on South Lotts Road.

๐ŸšŒ For public transport the Stadium is served by the following bus routes C1, C2, 47, S2 and 82 all within 3 minutes walking distance, also the C3, C4, C5 and C6 have termini 15-minute walk away as is the Dart station at Lansdowne Road. If using on street parking please consider the residents and do not obstruct their entrances, and refrain from parking in the housing estate between the stadium and Sean Moore Road so as not to infringe on residents.
