The Paul Compton Memorial Golf Day

Hi All
This years Paul Compton golf day will be in Hollywood Lakes Gc. Tee-time starts from 10.30am - 1pm. Then 2pm -3pm. Saturday 13th August
The Price is €240 for a team of 4 includes the following game of golf & meal after also your team will be entered into a free draw that night in the A1 bar. Time sheet will open on Monday €100 deposit books your tee slot. All monies must be paid 2 weeks before the event. We will also be open for hole sponsors , longest drive & nearest the pin. To sponsor any of the above it’s €100. To sponsor the event it’s €640 which includes a 4 ball on the day.
All money raised will go to Vianney FC.

In chatting with the captain yesterday about handicaps each new member will play off 18 for 2 rounds then we can judge their handicap. If you have a GUI handicap that’s acceptable all your cards must be returned to your home course.

Next outing is Moyvalley on the 9th of April @ 2pm. It’s booked for 32 players. Timesheet will open next week

A1 Golf Society 2022

Hi All
We had meeting on Saturday here what was agreed for the coming year.

Membership. Is now closed @ 42 players.
Prizes. The following prizes for each outing as follows. 1st. Mc Guirks €50 voucher. Runner up Mc Guirks €30 voucher. Class 1 winner & Class 2 winners €20 Mc Guirks voucher. F9 & B9 golf balls.
Polo shirts. We will subside good quality polo shirts cost for members is €12.50.
Handicaps. Stephen Kennedy will over see the handicaps this year.

Fundraising. We have decided to go with the bonus lotto ball this year. €5 per week for your number. 70% payout.
We will also go with the 4 major golf events. This was a great bit of fun last year. We will do a few spot the balls over the year with the winner getting a €50 voucher for Mc Guirks golf.

Each outing must be paid one week before so it gives us options to extend tee times or open it to visitors. This can be sent to Adam.

Captains Day will be in Tullamore this year on the 10th of September some are going on Friday I will have a price for one night & 2 night stays soon.

The A1 Masters blue jacket day will take place this year on the K club south course July 16th.

We have opened up each event for sponsorship cost is €200. If you sponsor an outing your golf is free. The following have agreed sponsorship

What can you say a brilliant day had by all the weather was great sunshine from start to finish. The course was in great shape

Paul Compton Memorial Golf Day 5th Year.

Hi All
Tomorrow is the 5th year of the Paul Compton golf day. Every year it grows stronger thanks to you all tomorrow we will have 24 teams playing for the cup. The weather is going to be lovely so bring your sun factor. A few people I would like to thank for their help in running of the event first to the Compton family for letting us run this event every year in Paul’s memory.
