Living through these Covid times has played havoc with our emotional wellbeing. Yoga can help immensely in bringing back a sense of connection with ourselves, as well as allowing space for suppressed emotions to surface and be expressed in a safe, positive and held space.
I had to apologise to the friend who had told me yoga makes you cry
Time to take our emotions out of cold storage

I haven’t posted on here for the longest time, but this article caught my eye. In January, I was lucky enough to make a big career change and started a full time Student Counselling role at Maynooth University. Catastrophising is something that frequently crops up for clients in their mind set, especially when the pressure is on, like now, during exam season. Have a read for lots of helpful info and tips x

Loving Padraig O'Morain's wry take on our fast-paced, productivity-obsessed society. He's just one of a select few Irish voices on my fav meditation app, "Insight Timer", and someone I regularly recommend to clients who are looking for a starting point for their mindfulness practice.

What a fab weekend it was at the Masters of Calm Yoga Festival on the beautiful isle of Inis Rath: time to play around in the forest (big “holi” face on me and all 😂) and to try out classes in lots of styles from Kundalini to “Buddha Walking” to “Yininstinct” (a new personal fav). Feeling inspired 😊🧘🏼♀️🕉

We’re powering through the week, lads. Thursday already! From complete beginners to more advanced practitioners, there’ll be loads of options within each pose to suit your level. G’wan you know you want to!

Here's a wee article I wrote about 6 years ago while in Goa as part of my yoga internship: the result of many hours in a hot, dark, sweaty internet cafe down the road from the yoga shala. What with power cuts and the constant temptation to run off to the nearby beach to chill with a king coconut or enjoy the surf, it was truly a labour of love!
It's pretty wordy (and I'm not sure my thesis supervisor would have approved of some of my attempts at referencing), but has links to some useful resources if you're looking for ways to understand and help manage the symptoms of anxiety and panic attacks xoxox
