St Marys RFC Girls Youth Rugby
Women’s, Girls Youth and Minis Rugby Team in Templeogue, Dublin 6 🏉
19/05/2026
Across the Guinness Women’s Six Nations, players, coaches, members and families from across the DLM and Three Saints crew, came out in huge numbers to support the Ireland Women’s team — most recently for the fantastic home fixtures against Wales and Scotland.
To witness over 31,000 supporters in the Aviva Stadium last Sunday for Ireland v Scotland was something truly special and another huge milestone for women’s rugby in Ireland.
Days like these are inspiring the next generation of players and showing our girls exactly what is possible through the game.
A massive thank you to Vodafone for their generosity in providing tickets throughout the series. The opportunity meant so much to all of our players, members and families. The memories made together will last a long time.
The future of the women’s game is bright 🇮🇪🏉

The Delamarys U-14 girls’ tour to Belfast was a whirlwind of tries, sunshine, and unforgettable memories. From high-scoring matches to meeting international heroes, the weekend was a resounding success for the players and staff alike.
Saturday: Rugby Fever and High Scores
The adventure began at a sun-drenched Templeville Road at 8:30 AM on Saturday morning. Spirits were high as the bus rolled out, and the excitement only grew during a pit stop at Applegreen. There, the girls were thrilled to meet members of the Leinster Junior Team, who were en route to Lisburn for their Interpro clash against Ulster.
Once in Belfast, the squad arrived at the Ulster University Jordanstown campus. We were warmly met by Karl from Ophir RFC for a match played in fantastic spirits.
The Match Highlights
The First Half: The Delamarys girls laid down a heavy marker, dominating early to lead 36–15 at the break.
The Result: An absolute “try-fest” saw the girls secure a massive 71–48 victory.
Scorers: Standout tries were recorded by Ella, Lauren, and Aoife.
Post-match, the team enjoyed a barbecue and refreshments before getting creative with face paint and posters in preparation for the big game.
Meeting Heroes at the Affidea Stadium
The evening was spent at the Affidea Stadium cheering on Ireland against Wales. An Irish victory set the perfect mood, but the highlight came after the final whistle. The Irish Ladies team proved to be true heroes, staying late to take selfies, sign autographs, and even hand out merchandise to our delighted players.
Sunday: Ice, Water, and Team Bonds
Sunday brought a change of pace with a trip to the Ice Bowl in Dundonald for an hour of fun on the rink. The weekend’s sporting “twist” followed at Let’s Go Hydro.
The girls competed in a rugby match on a floating pitch, where the only way to score a try was to jump straight into the water! It was a brilliant, “memory-making” highlight that showcased the team’s fun-loving spirit.
🏆 A resounding success! Huge thanks go to the organisers, coaches, and the incredible fundraising team who made this tour possible.
Some highlights of last weekend’s team tries in the U16 Leinster League final against Ravens!
Fulltime score 45-7 to DLM 💙🖤🏆

🏆 U16 LEINSTER LEAGUE CHAMPS! 🏆
St Mary’s men got it done in the AIL on Sunday, and the De La Mary’s U16 girls made sure it was a double!
The team flew out of the blocks from kick off — centre Saoirse slicing straight through the middle of the posts, out-half Ava there to finish and convert. That set the tone early…
Prop Bonnie was next up, crashing over from close range, before Ava grabbed her try after a brilliant break from halfway off the back of a huge clean-out — and still perfect from the tee of course.
From our own scrum then, a beautiful kick pass picked out Ruby O’H who backed herself and went the distance to leave it 26–0 at the break. Even the opposition supporters couldn’t believe their eyes!
There was no let-up in the second half. Scrum-half Lorna added the next points onto the board with a proper scrummie move off the scrum.
Ravens got one back, but control never slipped. Another score pushed it out before Ruby O’H capped things off late.
FT: DLM 45–7 Ravens 💙🖤
Massive shoutout to the entire squad — not just the 23 on the day, but all the players who put in the work all season to get us here. To the coaches, parents and supporters, thank you for everything along the way!
An amazing season for the girls… the future is incredibly bright!!! 🏆

The U16s welcomed Gorey to Templeville where they displayed a fast paced match under the guidance of captain Ava. There was plenty of moves, offloads and of course consistent team tries.
FT score 41-17 to DLM 🙌🏼
The U18.5 girls travelled to Clontarf and played a tightly contested game. The DLM girls were up 14 points at halftime. By the final few minutes it was 21-19 to the home team, right up until the last play where DLM secured the win with another try.
