DCU Karate Club

We're delighted to announce details of our Open Autumn Course on September 12th, in Portlaoise, Co. Laois.

This years instructors are Liam Murphy Sensei (6th Dan JKA) from our YMCA Karate Club and Leandro Caria (5th Dan JKA) from Bassai Dai Karate Ireland - JKA Galway.

This is an open course with classes for all grades. Fees are €10 for JKA-Shotokan Ireland members (please register via Spond) and €15 for guests.

35 Year journey for Karate Alumni | DCU Alumni Four DCU alumni, Louis Tuttle (Business Studies ’92 & MBS ’97), Liam Murphy (Computer Applications ’93), Fran Meggs (Computer Applications ’94) and Neville Reilly (Electronic Engineering ’95) were all recently awarded their 6th dan black belts by the Japan Karate Association (JKA).

The YMCA Karate Club in Dublin city centre is holding an Adult Beginner Karata Course over 8 weeks. 🥋

Just a reminder that there is no training this Saturday (Aug 20th) due to the JKA-WF Scotland Summer Training Camp taking place over the weekend with Kawasoe Sensei and Naito Sensei.

Summer training continues on Saturday mornings from 11.00-12.30 in the racquetball court of DCU Sports Complex. 💥
