May is inflammatory bowel disease (IBD) awareness month and in Ireland is particularly marked on the 19th of May. Around 50,000 people live with inflammatory bowel disease (IBD) in Ireland, with at least 20,000 of those affected by Crohn’s disease or ulcerative colitis. Crohn’s and Colitis Ireland (CCI), which supports individuals living with IBD, is hosting free events both online and in-person to raise awareness about the experiences of those affected by IBD and to advocate for improved support for patients.

When you have our Care Skills and Care Support modules completed you can then work in Nursing Homes and the Community Care Setting, while you still complete the remaining modules to achieve your full award.
Our classes take place on zoom weekly. Manual handling and people moving take place in Waterford or Dublin.
