Golf Clobber

Golf clobber matchplay 2019 finished today @ Corrstown golf course. Venue was in great condition and weather was excellent. Stephen Trimble needed a win to extend the season. Unfortunately I shot a 5 over round to cement the victory for 2019. In fairness to Stephen Trimble the winning score of 8 - 5 doesn't do his golfing pedigree any justice. He's had a fantastic season with plenty of trophies and I had to work extremely hard to retain the trophy for 2019. We will look forward to a new season beginning in 2020 and another fantastic golfing duel.

Another close win today for Stephen " Birdie Time " Trimble. Stephen closed with 2 birdies in the last 3 holes to win the contest today by 1 point. Congratulations today pal with a great finish to score 11 points in the final 4 holes and record 2 birdies. Competition now closer at 9 - 5 to myself. Great course conditions at Hollystown G C. It's been a while since our last event was played. Had a brilliant day with Stephen Trimble at Hollystown yesterday. It was another entertaining battle and I'm delighted to say I came out on top after 18 holes. It was a tight affair with only 3 points separating us after 9. Great to open up an 8 - 4 lead overall and a few extra €€€€'s in the dinner kitty. Trimbo played very well and I look forward to our next battle.

It's been a while since we last posted a few pictures. Great to play in the Tuesday open at Hollystown yesterday. Course in great condition. Golf not so good unfortunately to match the warm weather. I finished with a poor 32 points but a bit better than Stephen who had 28 points. We will both get .1 off the GUI but I took €10 off Mr Trimble. At least I got something out of the day. Still, decent banter and we move into the next round

The golf clobber tour had its first official away match yesterday morning at Blackbush golf club. It was a cool, brisk morning and Stephen ' Never On Time ' Trimble turned up his customary 20 minutes late. Apparently it was the schools fault for holding him up 😳😳. The round burst into flames immediately with Stephen opening with a birdie on the first hole par 5. This set the tone of the round as Brendan ' Horrendous Drives ' Kennedy was scrambling from start to finish. Stephen played quality golf all day and was never going to be caught. He finished with a fantastic 39 points and I could only limp in with 33 points. Not even close. Congratulations pal on a super victory with terrific golf. The score now stands at Kennedy 4 v Trimble 3. Until the next round I hope to reopen the gap. Well done Trimble, yesterday was your day ⛳️🎉🎊🏆

Another cracking morning at Hollystown for the golf clobber match play. Stephen ' McDonnell Cup Winner ' Trimble was ready with some great form to play this morning. Golf was excellent and I managed to increase my lead to 4 - 2. Stephen had beat me convincingly a few weeks ago so it was nice to turn the tables on him this morning. Games are getting tighter as Stephens game is improving every week. Well done today pal, great craic and banter and another round to play soon.
