π FEMALE PLAYER OF THE YEAR PANEL π
Geraldine Heaney - Gold Medalist and member of the
Originally hailing from Lurgan, Geraldine moved to Canada as a child and went on to become one of the all time greats and won an Olympic gold medal in 2002. She was later inducted into the Hockey Hall of Fame and IIHF Hall of Fame and was quoted as saying; "There are so many young girls playing hockey now, it's amazing. I really feel we need to promote the game worldwide, not just in Canada, and inducting women now should help that." As a pioneer of womens hockey we are honoured to have her as part of this panel.
Kate Morrison - Trustee and Senior Women Manager with Inline Hockey Ireland
Kate has been around hockey her whole life, as a player, as a manager, as a wife, as a parent and as an administrator. Kate has lived it and seen it as a female hockey player in Ireland and knows the importance of encouraging and promoting the female players.
Alex Mabley - Team Ireland Player and Junior Coach with
Growing up in Montreal it would have been hard for Alex not to find hockey and that passion was rejuvenated when she found inline hockey in Cork. Alex went on to represent Ireland at the 2024 World Skate Games and is a consistent contributor to coaching young players in Cork.

James Nagle - Sales Manager at
After a professional playing career that saw him settle in Germany, Jim has gone on to work with a large number of professional teams throughout Europe in his role with Warrior Hockey. With Irish connections he is eager to see the development of hockey here.
Dave Hammond - COO at
Dave is no stranger to Ireland being an advisor to the national programmes when they were getting started and running player and coaching camps in 2019. Since then Dave has gone on to work with PGKA and coaching kids all round the world while serving on the board.
Eduards Bartkevics - National Programmes Coordinator and Referee with Inline Hockey Ireland
Ed has taken in 100s of games in recent years in his role as a senior referee; watching the talented young players develop year on year. At a national team level Ed has been on hand for numerous international competitions and understands what it takes to compete at the highest level.

Clare Louise O'Donoghue - Head of Commercial & Marketing at
In her role wit FIS, Clare spearheads the Volunteers in Sports Awards and will bring that experience to this panel.
Richard Honeyford - Executive Manager at Northern Ireland Sports Forum
Having worked in sports across numerous roles, Richard understands the importance of volunteers in the organisation of sports. Earlier this season Richard got the opportunity to check out the Emerald Cup action.
Marc Cullen - Vice Chairperson at Inline Hockey Ireland
Marc's business background has seen him become a key member of the Executive Committee. A role he combines with a club committee role and often being on hand to help with national team trips.

A hugely enjoyable weekend of hockey at the league 2 playoffs π
A format that saw action packed engaging games from all teams with a fantastic community atmosphere throughout!
Congrats to on clinching 1st place with a win over who would finish 2nd. defeated to win the bronze medal.

This weekend is all about the League 2 Playoffs!
Saturday sees Pool play before seeded games on the Sunday. Also on Saturday we have a speed skating (13:30) and penalty shot competition (16:00)
