Hi guys,
Thanks for the well wishes and messages from my previous FB and IG posts.
As per HSE standards, physiotherapy is an ‘essential service’ as people requiring our service are usually in pain and discomfort. We are here to provide a service for pain management during this time, but emergency cases only. This is in the interest of protecting our staff and clients. Please ring so we can assess you over the phone. Please do not take offence if you are refused face to face treatment when we triage you. There will be a new video call service for assessments and exercise prescription 😊
Please follow the carefully devised instructions for your urgent physiotherapy appointment (Devised in conjunction with the and fellow colleagues):
🖐🏽Patients shall wait in their cars where the physiotherapist or receptionist shall call you and ask you some questions to check your eligibility to enter the clinic for treatment
🖐🏽You cannot enter the clinic until you have been instructed to do so
🖐🏽The receptionist or physiotherapist shall open the door to greet you, where you will be asked to sanitize your hands. All doors will remain open until you enter your treatment room, where your physiotherapist only, will touch the door handle.
🖐🏽Our waiting area is closed off! Our policy is one patient in, one out,.
🖐🏽The physiotherapist will ask you to sanitize again in front of them by placing the gel into your hands. This procedure will be repeated after your treatment session.
🖐🏽Persons treated lying on their tummies will be asked not to use the breathing hole. When treating the neck for example, treatments can be performed in sitting, modified positions on tummy or other.
🖐🏽Fresh paper towels and regular towels are changed after every patient. All treatment tables, door handles, pillow cases etc will be changed between each patient.
🖐🏽Mask and aprons will be used where applicable. If this is the case, please do not be offended.
🖐🏽Patients with any current respiratory symptoms will not be approved for treatment. In this instance, we advise you contact your GP, and they shall triage you accordingly.
🖐🏽Your physiotherapist will hand sanitize pre and post treatment, when you, the patient, does same. They will also wash her hands half way through your treatment.
🖐🏽Before every treatment session, this strict regime will be enforced and may be modified, due to changes and recommendations in the HSE algorithm, necessary based on rate of evolving COVID-19 spread. We assure you all, we are adhering to these strict measures, with great diligence.
As always, we take our hygiene regime very seriously and we want all our clients to feel safe and protected. We also ask that you, as patients, adhere to the cough/sneeze etiquette. Please use the tissues provided re same.
We are here to help you, if you need it!!! Essential appointments only! For any queries or if you’re a current patient of ours and may need advice, please contact us on 0861426568.
Many thanks,
Dara.
