What I train for- Muay Thai, Grappling, Strength
training, Body weight training, Yoga and Pilates.

Why Do I do this? I want to be strong, flexible and
confident.

What I consider strong:
I don’t need to have a strong bicep curl- What I do want is to be able to do multiple reps and sets of Pull ups and Push ups. I can lift my actual body weight, climb walls and run to chase down a bus or just to get home faster when it’s cold outside.

What I consider Flexible- Touching my toes. That was
my first of many progressions, actively stretch without pain, locate problematic areas and gently work on them and focus on my breathing- This is also my preference for Stress Relief.

What I consider Confident-

This was my introduction to self defence- I began with Muay
Thai (Kickboxing) and after a couple years I decided to take up Brazilian Jiujitsu which I have been actively training for the past 2 years.

I compete in both sports, I feel humbled by what I learn and
what I have yet to learn.

This is my passion and it will remain a part of my life- I
think anyone with an interest of bettering themselves needs to find something you can learn from and challenge your mind.

A comparison of Weight training Compared to learning jiujitsu

Weight Training/Bodybuilding/Weight loss- The Main goal is to look better and gain/lose weight.

Jiu Jitsu-
To learn how to defend yourself, learn control, learn to think ahead and implement strategies and to learn from one of the most practical martial arts in the world.

Benefits >
Muscle definition, weightloss, increased cardio, flexibility and of course the confidence to stay level headed and in control.

My point is that although the results are guaranteed from
weight training, you need to be consistent and without a passion you truly enjoy ,it is a hard journey.

I believe the best option for prospect clients is to enjoy
the different training styles, actively seek challenges and to learn a
practical training style with all of the same benefits.

This was all my personal belief, You don’t have to agree but
I am a much happier person since my journey through martial arts.

I’m happy to do free 30 minute consultations to assess each
client and see if we are compatible and of course discuss our goals (What we
both want to achieve)

Back in Dublin after 2 months abroad training in Thailand, classes will be starting up soon on a sporadic basis and private training is always available.

Outdoor training in Fairview Park - message me to arrange a session. Definitely going to be a couple of free classes coming up soon, so think of a goal that you really want, big or small.

Making the first step is always tough but staying consistent is the true battle ;)
If you really want something , go hunt it

I'm a Certified witchdoctor! 😂
Thai massage definitely great for working out the kinks and knots in tendons that can cause all sorts of issues
and then oil massage for relaxing and destressing.... A nice combo I've picked up here in Chiang Mai

I'll need Guinea pigs for both when I get back ;)
As well as anyone up for some serious conditioning training :)
