*************GOAL SETTING*************

What is goal setting??

Every person should set themselves goals whatever they do in life. It is essential for people interested fitness to set goals, whether it is losing weight, chasing a pb, or even training to do a marathon.

Whatever the goal is it should have a short term, medium term and then finally the desired goal and each stage should also have a time frame in which to be achieved.

The 5 main parts to remember when looking to set goals is are they Specific, Measurable, Attainable (Achievable), Realistic and finally the time frame in which to achieve the goals!!

I set goals regulary and lately they have changed for the better but finally goals can be personal to yourself and no one else :)

Great article that shows how effective bands can be when training!!
Whether it's using them for building strength or warming up or even using them as an aid with something that is too hard at first! ! E.G pull up progressions!!

Bands are a commonly under used piece of equipment, but for me I find them effective and useful on any program!

Great work from Katie tonight!! She's on her strength program atm and has shown great improvement in the last few weeks!! Still more improvements to be made but with continued hard work and structured programming she will be hitting much higher numbers with great form very soon!!

People often dont realise the importance of a warm up before a workout. It is more than just raising your core temperature, it is primarily done to
Focus the mind for the workout ahead,
Incease synovial fluid to all joints,
Increase blood flow,
Prevent injury.
Apart from all these we also know that a effective 10-20 minute warm up can lead to enhanced performance which im sure everyone wants!!!
