The Red Bows start off their season 1-1 after some great play from the entire team. Though, we’d like to recognize the players that stood out to keep the team firing on all fronts during the weekend.

The Offensive MVP for Game 1 against the Northwest Vipers is Alex Barker, leading the team to their first victory of the season. The Defensive MVP is a rookie with a breakout performance on the defensive side helping to keep the Vipers offense at bay, Niamh O’Dwyer

Our Offensive MVP in our narrow defeat against The Northdown Dragons is Olga Clavilier with her explosive plays. Defensively our MVP is Sarah Johnson, making some great defensive stops to keep the game tight leading into the final seconds.

Congratulations to all our MVPs on their great play and be sure to follow for future results and updates from the Bows and the Rebels.

Rep the Bow. Join the Rebellion!

The Dublin Rebel's women's flag footbal team, The Dublin Red Bows, play their first week of games today to kick off the 2026 season. The Red Bows are close to home in the UCD Sports grounds to take on the North Down Dragons and the Northwest Vipers.

The Dublin Rebels women’s flag football squad, The Dublin Red Bows, hosted a friendlies day with UCD, Dublin City Wolves and The South Dublin Panthers earlier today. We wanted to extend a huge thank you to the teams that were able to come out and compete for such an amazing, highly windy, down-pouring day.

Craic was had, touchdowns were scored. This just shows how far American football has come within Ireland and how big women’s sport is becoming. Keep on pushing. Go Red Bows!

After a great start to the season, we’d like to recognize the players that made a huge impact to bring home the W.

Starting off with a new addition to the squad, our Offensive Player of the Game is Luke Carey. With a great performance scoring his first TD with the Rebels and breaking multiple runs for big gains, he showed up to play.

Next is our Defensive Player of the Game, Tiernan Butler. Tiern Playing amazing defensively causing havoc in the backfield and pulling in a pass deflection for a defensive TD. He was flying all over the field, finishing tackles and stopping big plays.

And lastly is our Special Teams Player of the Game, Kenny McCarty. .mccarty Kenny showed true tenacity on every single special teams play, but his hustle and focus is what made the day. With a blocked punt recovered for a TD, there is no reason why he doesn’t deserve this recognition.

Congratulations to all these players, we have a short turn around and face the UL Vikings in Limerick on Sunday, March 29th and hope to keep pushing.

2 Weeks to our 2026 season start vs. at MTU Stadium in Cork.

Wish us luck as we look to make another run this year on the road to the Shamrock Bowl. I think a lot of people will be surprised at the level we have been working to get to.

The Rebellion starts soon! Go Rebels!
