A phenomenal morning in Ballymastone!

The second edition of our annual Under 9 Boys 7v7 tournament saw us welcome our friends from Glasnevin FC, Swords Manor FC, Rivervalley Rangers FC, Lusk United, Rush Athletic, and Dunboyne AFC to Ballymastone for a morning of football that showcased everything good about the grassroots game!

Ballymastone was a sight to behold this morning 💚🤍

The highs and lows of the beautiful game were on full display, as everyone went at with a phenomenal combination of competition and sportsmanship - great goals, near misses, last minute winners, the devastation of losing a penalty shootout, the elation of winning one...the morning had it all, and we were very proud hosts as we watched it all unfold this morning 💚🤍

Our own 3x U9 boys teams had a wonderful experience and took so much from the day as they transition from the 5v5 format to the 7v7 format for next season.

A massive thank you to everyone who helped make this tournament happen, and to all the players, coaches, officials and supporters who got behind the event and made it an event to remember

It's not too often we have foreign successes to celebrate in the community, but yesterday two sons of Donabate made history in Wembley, as they helped Notts County to play-off success.

Congrats from everyone at St. Ita's AFC to Conor Grant and Luke Browne. As we prepare for another MiniEuro in a month's time, you are both inspirations to the children of the community.

Well done, lads. We are so proud of you both. Look out for Conor's assist for the third goal in a 3-0 win.

The very best of luck to our Girls Youth Team and they take on Rathcoole FC in the Final of the John Duncan Memorial Cup

Kick off is 2.15pm up in the AUL and there are reports of a big Ita's contingent heading up to The Complex to roar the girls on!

Good luck to Kevin, Michael, and all the girls involved...bring it home 🏆

🟢⚪️ Medals Presentation 🟢⚪️

What a magnificent day yesterday, as we had the enormous honour of presenting medals to not one, not two, but THREE of our juvenile boys sides after their heroics this season!

Leagues and cups are hard won, and for our lads to get them over the line at U13, U14, and U15 level is a monumental achievement and to see all 3 teams celebrating together was truly magnificent 💚🤍

We had the players, coaches, parents and supporters from all 3 teams come together in the Community Centre yesterday for a presentation, before they all set off en masse for The Brook for a day of celebration - memories for ever for all involved!

🟢⚪️ Nugent Cup Semi Final 🟢⚪️

Congratulations to our Senior Men's 1st Team on reaching the final of the Kevin Nugent Cup after a 3-1 extra time win over Portlaoise AFC last night!

Semi Finals are never easy, and last night was all about getting the result over the line - both teams went at it in a war of attrition, and our lads deserve huge credit for getting the job done!

We will post Cup Final details once confirmed.

A massive thank you to all who came out to support last night, a great crowd in Ballymastone - and great to see some of our vocal juvenile sides out to get behind the lads!

Thanks to the officials, who had a tough job on their hands (!!), and the best of luck to Portlaoise AFC - great opponents who we will see back in Ballymastone very soon for our Final league game of the season
