Two weekends of bumper racing, two National Champs and two overall Piranha podiums!
Ciaran Kyne is flying, taking silver at the Sprint Nationals (Two Provinces) and bronze at the Middle Distance Nationals in Tyrone, third overall by eight seconds 😮💨 some finish!
Megan Roberts took 5th with Sean McMahon mixing it up in the Sprint Champs. Congrats to all the AG podiums 🏅 Well done all! 🤜🤛

This week we said farewell to swim coach Niall McDonnell.
After 20 years as a member and 12 years coaching for Piranha, Niall is a proper club legend. From popular West Wood sessions to helping get things going at Sean MacDermott Street Pool, Niall has been there – week after week making good and fit swimmers 💪
Niall sent us off with his favourite set, 3 x 3x100s… we’ll miss that one and all of them.

Joanne’s birthday weekend double featured another fantastic event - the escape from Ireland’s Eye. This event featured a challenging 2km swim from the Island to the mainland!

Piranha Cycling Challenge 2026 X Base2Race
Massive thank you to .ie for sponsoring all the prizes for the Piranha March Cycling challenge 🙏🤌
Amelie was longest distance woman completing a mindblowing 1393 km in the month of March. Shane - our longest distance man - put in an awful amount of work to make sure he beat Amelie with a total distance of 1522 km 😵 To reward them for all their hard work, Amelie and Shane were gifted beautiful helmets (thank you again base2race).
Ruth, our new to tri winner beat her goal of 570km and cycled 747km! Finally, Miriam was our lucky draw winner and also completed their goal distance of 570km by cycling a whopping 762km. Ruth and Miriam walked away with many many gels which will fuel the rest of their season!

It was a big day out last weekend in Clonmel kicking off the National Series, and our Piranhas delivered! 🏆
