New for this season, match scoring and player registrations will be handled on VolleyStation, each club will get a log in using the email address you provide on the league registration form. More info including training on this new system to follow from Callum.

Huge thanks to Alan Knipe, for delivering a focused session to Volleyball Ireland’s National team and Pathway coaches last week. We were delighted to have a coach with such acclaimed experience as Alan working closely with our coaches.
Alan lead the USA Men’s National team coach to 5th place in the London Olympic (2012) and is the man who helped build a Volleyball dynasty out of Long Beach State, winning x3 NCAA Titles, coaching and developing some of the worlds top players. TJ Defalco, Taylor Crab, Paul Lotmann, Josh Tuaniga and more recently both Nikolov brothers Alex and Simeon.

If anyone would like to see Alan in person our friends at Northern Ireland Volleyball are hosting a full weekend session on the 29th and 30th August.

The main topics discussed were on developing team culture, how to communicate and support athletes to prioritise growth and on designing of drills that create a familiar environment for athletes, without losing novelty.

A big thank you to Alan for his time and insights, and a special mention to Ronan Walsh, Principle of Sutton Park School to allow use of their wonderful Ethan Banks room.
