Welcome along to the Irish National Sailing & Powerboat School. Based in Dun Laoghaire, we are the largest sailing and powerboat training provider in Ireland and have been getting people on the water for over 40 years. Our instructors are very experienced and we are fully insured. We have an excellent safety record and pride ourselves on our superb reputation.

Summer Courses 2026 – Week 1 Complete ✅

What a fantastic first week of our children’s summer courses on the water!

We were delighted to welcome so many young sailors onto the water , and it was great to see everyone building their skills and confidence while having plenty of fun along the way.

A huge thank you to everyone who joined us. We hope you enjoyed the week as much as we did, and we look forward to seeing many of you back on the water again soon!

A fantastic day aboard Beaufort Venture with the crew from

It was a great introduction to yachting, providing an opportunity to learn new skills and gain confidence onboard a larger vessel. The crew enjoyed exploring Dublin Bay while developing their understanding of sailing in some excellent conditions.

With clear skies and a great breeze, it was the perfect day to explore everything Dublin Bay has to offer.

We look forward to welcoming the crew back on board again soon.

Kayak Rentals are back!

We are delighted to announce that our kayak rentals are now running again in Dun Laoghaire Harbour.

Available times:
Wednesday evenings, 6pm–8pm
Saturday afternoons, 2pm–4pm

Each session lasts 2 hours and includes everything you need to get out on the water, including a wetsuit and buoyancy aid. All kayaks are for use within Dun Laoghaire Harbour.

Price: €30 per person for 2 hours

Well done to our Junior Club members who took part in the RS Feva Eastern Championships last weekend at Greystones Sailing Club!

The team enjoyed a fantastic weekend of competitive racing, challenging conditions and plenty of fun both on and off the water.

A huge thank you to the organisers, instructors and parents who helped make the event such a success. We are incredibly proud of all our sailors for their effort throughout the weekend.

x 24 Hour Sailathon in aid of

On Friday 29th May at 4pm, the INSS and WPSC community will begin a full 24 hours of continuous sailing to raise funds and awareness for the incredible work of the RNLI.

Our instructors will sail continuously throughout the night, remaining on the water right through until 4pm on Saturday afternoon.

During the day on Saturday, Junior Club members and WPSC members will have the opportunity to get out on the water, take part in activities and racing, and support this fundraising event.

The team will also be joining us throughout the day with water safety talks and community engagement around the club.

Junior Club and WPSC members will receive further information directly over the coming days.

Childrens Summer Courses 2026!

Just 3 weeks to go until our INSS Summer Courses begin on Tuesday June 2nd!

Our summer courses are designed for children and teens aged 4–17, with programmes suitable for all experience levels, from complete beginners to advanced sailors.

Children aged 4–6 can enjoy fun, active introduction courses on the water including marine ecology, while our courses for ages 6–17 include sailing and watersports in a safe and exciting environment.

It’s the perfect way to build confidence, learn new skills, make friends and enjoy the summer outdoors.
