Our latest two Beginners Workshops were great fun! We're looking forward to many new members ⚔️

Unfortunately, we were forced to reduce Féile na nGaiscíoch 2026 down to 2 days from the planned 3.
Last year in summer, we had booked (and received confirmation from) Gormanston Park, which would've given us a venue for 3 days with on-site accommodation. In January this year, they emailed us and said they double booked, and we pulled the shorter straw.

After much back and forth for over a month trying to salvage the situation, we had to make the hard decision to cut one day (and with that, new tournament categories and several workshops).

Féile na nGaiscíoch 2026 will now take place Saturday & Sunday the 24th and 25th of October, in the same location it did last year: Firhouse Community and Leisure Centre.

We hope to open ticket sales soon and to give you more info on timetables and workshops!

Once again, in honour of International Women's Day on the 8th of March, Dublin HEMA Club is offering a special Beginners Workshop at a reduced fee of only €15. The workshop is open to women (cis and trans) and non-binary people who feel comfortable in spaces that are specifically aimed at women.

The workshop will be on the 7th of March at St. Dominic's Secondary School, Cabra, Dublin from 10am - 4pm.

We officially got a new coach certified by HEMA Ireland!

While our official club weapons are still only longsword and sword&buckler, it is possible to train sabre with Stephen on some Thursdays of the month.

Guess we need to make it a week-long event so people have more time to recuperate between tournaments, drinking, and workshops 😜
