Irish Life Dublin Marathon

We want to wish the very best of luck to the FTD Brothers as they prepare to cross the finish line of their incredible challenge — 33 marathons in 33 days — finishing in Dublin today, 28th May 🎉

Jordan and Cian Adams have taken on this extraordinary journey to raise awareness of Frontotemporal Dementia (FTD) and to support the vital work of Alzheimer Society of Ireland and their own non-profit organisation, the FTD Brothers Foundation.

The brothers lost their mother to FTD in 2016. As carriers of the same genetic condition, both Jordan and Cian are likely to develop the disease themselves in their 40s. Instead of standing still, they chose to fight back — turning their story into one of courage, awareness, and hope for others.

Jordan and Cian will complete their final marathon in Merrion Square, Dublin today, and from everyone at Dublin Marathon Group, we want to congratulate them on this remarkable achievement.

We’ll also be making a donation to support this important cause, and we encourage everyone to come out, show their support, and help give the brothers the incredible finish they deserve 💙

This category is open to all runners who have achieved a qualifying marathon time within the last two years, not just club members.

Entering the Irish Life Dublin Marathon ‘Good For Age’ does not guarantee a place in the 2026 Irish Life Dublin Marathon. Times will be verified, and you will be notified if you have been successful.

Meet Abby Hickey, who is travelling from Boston, Massachusetts to take on the Irish Life Dublin Marathon — running in support of Boston Children’s Hospital, a place that changed her life 🫶🏼

💬 “At 26, I feel lucky to be healthy — but that hasn’t always been the case. Growing up, I faced a lot of physical challenges. From broken bones to multiple concussions, and even a heart condition that required surgery at 16, it felt like one hurdle after another.”

💬 “Then in my freshman year, I was diagnosed with a nerve disorder that made running unbearable. Every step brought sharp pain, and I genuinely didn’t know if I’d ever run again.”

Through it all, Boston Children’s Hospital supported Abby — guiding her through recovery and helping her find hope again.

💬 “For years, I thought running was impossible. But eventually, I tried again — and fell in love with it. Now, I run marathons because I can. Boston Children’s is the reason I am who I am today, and I’ll always be grateful to the doctors and nurses who supported me through everything.”

💬 “I chose Dublin for its incredible crowd support and sense of community. As a first-time visitor, I’m so excited to experience the city while doing something I love.”

💬 “This experience means everything to me. After everything my body has been through, being able to run feels like a miracle. It’s a reminder that we can keep going — even when it’s hard, even when it hurts. I’m doing this because I can.”
