Oran Camogie Club

It is with profound sadness that we learned of the sudden passing of our beloved club member Harry Crowley on Sunday morning.

Harry’s involvement with Oran Camogie spans over three decades when he first became involved with the senior team in the mid 90’s. He was also involved with a number of underage teams and enjoyed lots of success with numerous county titles being won.

In more recent years Harry became involved with the current senior panel and management group as he was so often willing to get involved with teams. As a mentor, his words were meaningful and spoken with passion, and his knowledge of the game was second to none. His presence at training and matches, along with his words of wisdom, helped inspire a whole new generation of players in Oran. Indeed one of his happiest and proudest days was when Oran won the 2024 County Championship after a gap of almost 22 years.

Oran Camogie Club and the current senior squad and management team offer their deepest sympathies to Harry’s wife Mairead and his extended family during this hard time.

He will be reposing at Smyth’s Funeral Home, Roscommon (F42 NH27) on Wednesday evening from 5 o’c until 6.30 o’c. Removal from his home on Thursday morning at 11.15 o’c arriving to St Patrick’s Church, Clooneycolgan for Mass of the Resurrection at 11.30 o’c. Burial afterwards in Oran Cemetery.

Our victorious U15 Feile team are holding a fundraising Car Wash on Sunday 31st May & Monday 1st June in Athleague.
Please come out & support, in order to ensure that this Feile trip which will be held in Carlow/Laois is a successful and memorable event for all involved.

What a start to 2026.... Oran's youngest Camogie players & Hurlers commenced their training this evening in glorious weather. It was fantastic to see over 23 + kids enjoying themselves & beginning to learn the skill of the game. Well done to each & everyone of them, they were brilliant.

A massive thank you to all the coaches who have agreed to come on board & help with the nursery. We really appreciate your support. 👏🏻

New boys & girls are always welcome to come join in the fun. Training will resume next Friday at 6.15pm in Rockfield.

Well done to our u10 girls who travelled to Padraig Pearses for their first blitz of the year.
They played Pearses, St Dominics and Four Roads.

We are super proud of the girls who gave it their all in such hot conditions and scored some very impressive goals.
