Nearly died today… 💀Turns out it was just my first session back after a week off 😅

Back was acting up, but we’re moving again and that’s what counts.Shoutout to Cian for keeping me in check… and reminding me my clothes are begging for a wash 🧺😂

You lose the ability to “kinda” work out. No more 45-minute warm-up, 6-minute set, 12-minute scroll, then leaving sweaty but unchanged. They see everything.
Your phone becomes useless. “Just changing the song” turns into “Cool, put it away. You’ve got 8 more reps.”
They remember what you said last week. “My knee’s been a little weird” becomes a full-on investigation, followed by corrective work you didn’t ask for but definitely need.
You can’t lie about effort anymore. “That was 10”
..and they hit
you with the calmest “Do two more” like they’re reading your soul.
They make you do the boring stuff. Mobility, tempo, pauses, breathing, bracing-aka the stuff that actually works but doesn’t feel like a movie montage.
They turn your “rest day” into a “walk and hydrate day.” Suddenly you’re being coached like a houseplant: water, sunlight, steps.

They take away your favorite ego lift. Nothing humbles a person like being told to lower the weight and make it look perfect.
They celebrate PRs like it’s a championship... and then immediately add weight next week. No peace. Just progress.
