A few shots from last weekend’s Isokinetic conference - Football Medicine Strategies in Madrid where I presented on “Integrating Biomechanics in Return to Play after an Ankle Injury”.

Fantastic afternoon and great turnout for Ballinamore Athletic Club 10km Road Race and 5km Fun Run/Walk 60th anniversary celebrations yesterday. Thanks to Dessie for capturing it all here with a lovely photo collection.

Brilliant night at the Team Ireland Olympic Ball on Saturday. Great to catch up with friends and fellow Olympians to celebrate 100 years of Team Ireland.

A good day at where I delivered a workshop to their medical and performance staff on calf injury rehab.

Happy with Irish Life Dublin Marathon today - 2.26.50 for 24th overall & 4th over 40. Had to dig deep to cut my losses over the last 2 miles when I had nothing left.

As is the case every year, amazing support around the course & thanks to all the volunteers who make the event happen.

Fantastic couple of days in Strasbourg for the 10th International Ankle Symposium. I had a keynote presentation on “What a fully rehabilitated foot-ankle complex looks like after a lateral ankle sprain” - my first keynote at an international conference. I also had a joint workshop with Seth O’Neill on Achilles tendon assessment and rehab.

Delighted to visit to Arsenal training centre yesterday to deliver a workshop on calf injury rehab to their performance and medical staff.

Thanks to club head physio Jordan Reece for the invitation and S&C coach (and proud Mayo man!) Barry Solan for the tour of the facility.

I shared a lot of the work with Brian Conroy in the middle part of the race and we kept each over going over the last couple of miles!

Slowly recovering from yesterday’s Irish Life Dublin Marathon!

Finished 22nd overall male and 3rd in the over 40 category. My time of 2.27.14 was a little down on what I’d hoped for. It was one of those races where things didn’t go to plan early on and had to grind it out 1 mile at a time. Brilliant support throughout once again despite the rain.

Online entries are now open for this year's Ballinamore Athletic Club 10km Road Race and 5km Fun Run/Walk which will take place on a new date of Sunday August 13th at 13.00. This will be day 1 of Ballinamore Family Festival.
