MSc Research and PhD students can also submit their 'work in progress' for a Student Colloquium ahead of the conference.

Congratulations to Dr Katja Sovalainen on the successful defence of her dissertation 'Positioning Human Rights of Older People in Long-term Care in Ireland – a Foucauldian Critical Discourse Analysis' at Viva Voce today.

Katja was supervised by Professor Amanda Phelan and the Viva Voce was chaired by Professor Eilish Burke.

We are recruiting a Research Fellow to join Trinity Centre for Practice and Healthcare Innovation and assist with service improvement innovation initiatives with the Dublin Midlands Hospital Group (DMHG) (Tallaght University Hospital and Naas General Hospitals).

This collaboration aims to improve evidence-based care and practice and to support innovation in nursing practice through increased research activities and internationally peer reviewed outputs for dissemination to the wider nursing population.

Finally, we are delighted to announce that we will have a special keynote session at , 'Our vision for partnership across "our HSE"', delivered by Laura Kavanagh, Research and Advocacy Manager, Irish Platform for Patient Organisations, Science, Industry (IPPOSI), and Anne Lawlor, Chairperson, 22Q11 Ireland Support Group.

Laura and Anne will share the patient and service user vision for embedding a partnership approach to health and social care across our health system. Drawing on their experience as co-chairs of the HSE National Patient and Service User Forum (NPF), they will highlight the key challenges and opportunities for partnership in relation to individual care, as well as service design and delivery; policy development and implementation; and organisational change and governance.

We are hiring a Research Assistant to support the visuAAL project at the Trinity Centre for Practice and Healthcare Innovation (TCPHI).

The visuAAL project explores the use of video-based Active Assisted Living (AAL) technologies to deliver effective and supportive care to older adults managing their health and wellbeing.

This role will be of interest to those with a Master’s degree (or equivalent) in Health Psychology, Behavioural Science, Human Computer Interaction or a related area.
