A new Historian-in-Residence project being run by Dublin City Council – six part-time historians have been appointed by DCC to work with the general public, community groups and organisations, schools and libraries across the city (see further details here: http://www.dublincity.ie/decadeofcommemorations)
The historian for our area is Cormac Moore who is an expert in early 20th century Irish history with a particular focus on sports history. He is available to give talks, guided tours of the local area and to offer advice and help with historical research. His email is [email protected] if you would like to email him, or he will be in touch with you directly via email to introduce himself.
The Historian-in-Residence project will be formally launched by the Lord Mayor at the end of the month so you will see more publicity about this exciting project very soon.
Please don’t hesitate to contact Tara or Cormac if you have any questions or ideas
